I sent foster pup back to the main house for a bath and sanitary trim today and while she was returned smelling great and with many fewer dingleberries, she somehow stepped in, and then sniffed a bucket full of sidewalk chalk on her way back to my house.

I could not, and cannot stop laughing at this.

Edited to add that they were very apologetic that this somehow happened on the walk from the door to the car.

She’s here about 75+% of the time, but she is technically owned by the other family, so they cover her costs, etc. it may end up being a co custody situation unless they move.
As a person who LOVES CERTAINTY this has been a good exercise.

This sleepy boy has been slowly making friends with Bosco, the cat across the hall. Tonight Bosco came into our apartment for the first time and explored under all the things, and Bowie didn’t hiss! I’m writing the romcom now.
