Real estate ogling

Oy vey what a strange strange choice!!

Isn’t this just gorgeous? I couldn’t get a good picture of this house without being a complete creeper and stopping on the road right in front of it but I think the beauty is visible enough even with a bad picture. I absolutely love it and I want to live there. I think it’s a parsonage because there was a matching stone church next door where I was parked. That has been added on to so it’s not nearly as cute.

To quote the seller “most of the burnt parts have been removed”

I dunno, the “2 baths” part seems a bit optimistic at the moment :sweat_smile:

“Full walkout basement” has a whole new meaning to me now. They’ve got a few full walkout spaces actually

And lots of scenic views! :joy: :grimacing:

Serious potential missed with this listing – could have said "up to four baths – as long as you provide the hoses/buckets)

houses with a panic room lack vision. what if instead you built a house to hide your panic house?

This one shocked me.

The price is whatever. People are bananas and yeh it’s brand new and looks like every other brand new white house… I would have probably put curtains on the bedroom facing the road when staging it.

What got me is I walked past this week and the new owners are gutting it! Everything down to the skirting boards were being torn out. It’s never even been lived in. :scream:

Yep, they’re

I noticed in the copy it says “flood free block” and yet it appears to have flooded in 1974 and is on the flood risk map with a low likelihood of flooding. There is a minimum habitable floor height assigned to the property so they’ve built above it but if I had that money, I wouldn’t risk it?

Absolutely bizarre :flushed: also the COST! Like, to pay so much for a house and then have money to spend gutting and re-doing after that?!

Haha I also checked the flood report. It was fine in the 2011 floods but impacted by river flooding in the 0.2% AEP flood.
