I would understand someone in her position not being vulnerable with the public. There is very little grace or kindness for the Royals. In principle I agree with you, but as a human I’d like to see her, and everyone else, protected from the worst side of public scrutiny.

I’m seeing accounts online that 9 months for bowel surgery is very reasonable. Especially because if you require, say, an ostomy bag there are learning curves. And those are fine for going back to regular work in an office feeling like shit and maybe wrecking the bathroom with shit or having bag farts. But not if you are royal.
I do hope anything mental health related is a) getting treated as needed and b) has no shame.
I also think that if there is a secondary condition or even just her low weight/likely fragility considering 3 bad bad pregnancies it will complicate safety of consecutive procedures and healing time. Also really gross things like if she needs 4000 calories a day to heal and needs steroids, her appearance would be effected and maybe she doesn’t want to present like that/ is not allowed to/ is just done with it all.
It all sucks. I hope she has health, safety, privacy and friends and family.

Also a stroke could have similar recovery time, which would explain why there isn’t a sanitized statement or photo op. Sincerely hope that is not it.

I don’t know if she or anyone could really understand what they were opting into but she wasn’t born into it in the same way that Princes were. She did see how Diana was treated and still signed up?
My royal history is pretty vague. I recall her being picked on initially for being a “commoner” and as “wait-y katie” but also something about her family seeking proximity to the royal family for a few generations.
I don’t mean to imply that if whatever is going on is related to her husband or his family or the press, etc that it is her fault. More I am interested in how someone makes the choice to join the royal family and if the reality meets their expectations in any way. Though maybe she didn’t feel she really had a choice.
I hope she is ok.

If you want to know about what it is like to choose to join, the documentary that meghan and Harry did on Netflix actually spells it out a lot. And meghan had to give up her career, blog, Social Media, everything. So Many friends asked her if Harry was worth it

Ok here’s my less depressing contribution to the conspiracy theories. Maybe she did an egg retrieval so they could have one more kid via surrogacy. They weren’t sure if it would work, so they said she’d be out for 8-12 weeks while they wait for positive news, and if it’s going well then obviously she has to stay out of public for none months so people don’t know they used a surrogate. I realize there are many reasons this doesn’t make any sense, but that’s what I’m going with lol.
