I try to only buy clothes with pockets nowadays (well, shirts are allowed to be pocketless). The skirt has pockets too.
I suspect this isn’t quite as awesome my 90s teenage self thinks it is, and to be really 90s it would be a mid calf red velvet cloak or something. But it still makes me happy.
Modern Wizard jacket
Old navy baby doll dress from a clothing swap
Hand knit socks
Fluevog boots
I love it so much
You are so cool.
thank you
also it is literally true.
4C this morning! what!?!?!? (At least I didn’t anger the fates so much that they proved my decision wrong to bring in the snow shovel yesterday)
Love both outfits!
You are ridiculously cute
NO U
Also we have the same or very similar mirrors
I thought the sweater looked cute with jeans but that is super cute.
thanks! I’m trying to decide whether I want it as an ‘over dress’ - in which case I like the length, it could even be a bit shorter, or if I want it for ‘with jeans’, in which case longer.
This is one of the things that capsule wardrobe people don’t seem to talk about (e.g. Vivienne Files which I otherwise really like), or maybe it is just that I have so much hip spring, and this is an unusual challenge.
The black skirt is comfy and has pockets but I’m not sure it’s the most flattering length Though the shirt is also super long for me.
I love the tone on tone of the first look. Using that dress as a vest is brilliant.
I think you are on to something with the proportions of the second outfit. Maybe hem the skirt a few inches up? Or just try it with a shorter top to see if that balances things.
I think if you played with the length of the shirt you might be happier with the black skirt. Right now it looks pretty close to 50/50, and you might like it better 33/66?
