Ooo, or try swapping the purple laces onto the yellow shoe and black laces on the purple shoe and see how that looks. Preferably I’d say yellow laces on the purple shoe but that means obtaining another set of laces. But that way the shoes have colors that refer to each other and it has potential to look really stylish.

That’s what I thought at first but there isn’t anything higher up on the sleeves to tie them to!
Everyone has provided excellent suggestions. I think I may go with BJ’s. Maybe the sleeves into pillows/bolsters and the body into curtains—they’d be small curtains but I have been dreaming of pink velvet curtains…

@Clare-Dragonfly, I pulled it where I wanted and with the gathers arranged and then used a small hair tie(rubber band would work too) to cinch it and then tucked under. Stayed all evening, learned the trick from a video on pinterest!
@LadyDuck it’s actually a dress! A super not appropriate for having dinner with my mother in law dress, hence the t-shirt on top. It’s one of my favourite articles of clothing, but I rarely wear it out of the house because it’s basically baked from the top up. LOL. Backless and very deep plunge neckline. Fine for around the house or as a beach coverup, but I no longer believe that it’s appropriate out in public.
