Thanks. I figured it was more than just the nylon content, since the brown wool seems to all have disappeared leaving just the nylon, where the wool is still fairly solid in the blue yarn. Merino/BFL makes sense: the softness of merino is also what makes it less durable.

I think the nylon also plays a role, that something with more nylon has more support. These actually were doing pretty well until last year when I started throwing them into the machine wash laundry. I stopped doing that once it became obvious how much more quickly they were wearing out.

Speaking of wearing out, I like this shirt/sweater combo, but I can’t figure out the best context for it.

ETA: better with one button undone

Nylon is important. Today’s socks were made in August or September. I hadn’t realized they were 100% merino because they were an early purchase, and the store sample was socks.

Today during my walk they got a hole in the toe. Not cool.

Boo! That’s sad that your socks only made it months before getting a hole.

I was planning to wear my blue button down today, but it wasn’t warm enough, so all black instead of doing this hoodie with grey jeans.

Also pimple coming on my chin. :frowning:

Working from home means no shoes

And super pretty dresses!

Working in the office: Either a nice shirt or a work branded tshirt, jean pants, the same slip on office appropriate shoes every day.

WFH: work branded tshirt, jean shorts, no shoes. The shorts are because I try to go out for a walk every morning in lieu of commuting (and to burn off energy for Kiddo, if it weren’t for him the walks, and pants in general, would be much less likely to happen).

Marcela: Quarantine with style.

I’m in leggings and a sweater and slippers right now. This is going to be my uniform for the next who-knows-how-long.

For me it would mean no real clothes - I am in sweats/leggings/shorts and tees/sweatshirts at home.

Though I imagine that psychologically - dressing as if you are at work could help get into the right mindset.

Not dressing really messing with me psychologically. I wore a sleep t shirt and leggings yesterday and got basically nothing done and had a bit of an anxiety spiral.
I’m not about to wear heels and such, but I’m going to try to stick to dressing everyday.

Ignore the hotel room. I’m just proud I got up in time to get pants on before that interview last month.

So the linen shirt with burgundy cardigan goes well as a colour story, but will need a camisole if I am to wear it to work.
