Swirly sweater is what came to mind first for me. I love that pattern!

Mostly unintentional “feel like I’m about to walk onstage at the Grand Ole Opry” vibes. Also I was listening to Townes van Zandt today bcz that bluesy sound feels very holidays to me.
Also the sweater dress is Pendleton from Sierra Trading Post and was $25 when it was originally around $200 haha

Important things learned from this sweater: a merino cashmere silk single ply yarn is super soft against the skin but perhaps is not the best choice for a garment. Also, I am more likely to wear things with a sleeve, but full sleeves added to a lace shell will tend to fall into a drop shoulder configuration.

I am happy with the changed neckline to a boat neck. And it has grown in length substantially, so trying with a tucked in approach. This idea might be better with a higher rise pant, and I will switch to more the tunic length that is less forgiving on stomach flatness or lack thereof.

Brand new outfit I have never tried before

High waisted faded jeans, black short sleeve turtleneck, grey handknit cardigan with jul closure, expensive booties.

Christmas eve dinner outfit. Dress is a kids xl from target plus fancy shoes. 10 minutes into dinner, I ran up to my hotel room and switched into black flats because everyone else was in super casual attire. Sigh.

I love it (and all your sweaters)! What is the original pattern? I’m curious about the changes you made.

My shirt is a kids’ XXL

The original pattern for the red lace sweater was the Pegboard Lace Tunic, but it is no longer available. Ravelry: Pegboard Lace Tunic pattern by Caroline Bautista has other people’s projects. The sleeves I think I took from an Amy Herzog book.

I have been trying to replace this cardigan for several years now, but the tan and camel that Gap has been putting out are always too light. It looks like Banana Republic had a decent camel cardigan this year, but they are sold out in my size. The mending is getting a bit extreme so I only wear this on weekend.

Someone on Facebook was selling these shoes in blue second hand this fall. I was very lucky and didn’t see the post for several days, by which point they were already snapped up.

Uniqlo men’s had good :camel:, but I didn’t check women’s. I need to never check if they use sweatshops to a high degree or poison lakes and children, because they are bizzarely affordable and nice for well made basics. And odd drapery things
