@AllHat - I want to keep my wardrobe capsule-ish, so sticking with one item per function as long as I can. That V2 coat is gonna get a lot of use.
@Marcela - up close, I like delicate pieces with interesting shapes and colors, but as part of a whole, I like larger scale pieces. I also never want to put on cold metal in the winter, so materials that won’t freeze my neck are great. Wood and clay, maybe a long chain with a large pendant, but the risk is always a pendant getting… overshadowed…
Belated thank you for the accessory examples! I ended up getting a necklace that’s very similar to your first photo, I need to get a good shot of it.
You look stylish as always.
Today is 55° and sunny, and I am thrilled to be wearing a dress without tights. I didn’t have a lightweight jacket that went well with thiss, so it’s good that I ended up taking it off after getting too hot.
Has anyone heard of The Yes? It’s an algorithm-based fashion curation site. You take a quiz and slowly say “yes” to brands and trends and silhouettes and it gets to know you. Trying it out now. Definitely more like high-end fashion so far, but could be great for those of us expressing a desire to reboot our wardrobes a bit! Could see it being useful for creating a lookbook to shop from.
This is my “ate cake for breakfast before going to the dentist, realized in the car that the dentist appointment is actually Wednesday, March 16, turned around and played Snow White to the cats” outfit.
I love that look on you! 100% perfection from the outfit to the hair to the accessories. The best part is how happy you look and how confidently you’re posing. It tells me that you really love it!
Thank you!! Ideally I would have less solid black in the outfit, but considering literally only the cats saw it, pretty good.
Yesterday’s outfit, which isn’t anything fancy but does look like an actual outfit, which is 15 steps up from my usual leggings and bright green race shirt that I wear to walk around the neighborhood.
@Bernadette thanks! My inability to wear a normal purse has been a style millstone, but I realized if the rest of my outfit stayed neutral, then the obnoxiously red fanny pack could look more deliberate.
I just want to share this glorious combo of patterns that Latte has going on. She also has a purple hand me down shirt that says COOL KID in crazy letters under all that. And of course, NEEDS to eat snack with her hood up
