Rimshot!

I would just like to announce that I’ve received the badge “Nice Reply” for 5 posts, 4 of which were in this thread. I feel delighted, validated, and slightly boggled that you guys like my outfits so much.

100% a lie. I have terrible penmanship.

THOSE SHOES. So cute. Brand?

Cute but not quality will definitely fall apart. I got them for 12 pounds in London on super sale…brand is hard to read? Lulu hun?

Damn, ah well, enjoy them whilst you can!

Today I put a linen jacket thingy over the T-shirt of the day in order to be super extra fancy for no apparent reason. Also my arms were cold. However because they go so well with long sleeves , I wore sandals anyway. T-shirt is black, blue jeans, black sandals, linen jacket thingy is black and brown stripes with a Mandarin collar.

Tomorrow I’m going to have to locate one of my pairs of fake dressy shoes, because I have to go to a Thing for the end of the semester and probably get an award and have to have my picture taken. Also I must get all slung up, and also somehow make my hair look like I did whatever it does on purpose and like it goes with semi-formal attire. I decided I’m going to go get someone else to do my hair, actually, because that picture is likely to go in the newspaper. I’m going to the same woman at the hairstylist at Walmart who last did my hair when I interviewed for this job 10 years ago, so I guess the extravaganza is not too extravagant.

Today I’m rocking what @LadyDuck would call a ‘male engineer casual Friday shirt’, and a baby.
Baby PDM is rocking a Bonds onsie with Eucalyptus leaves on it. We’re both rocking hats because SLIP SLOP SLAP!

I think you share a wardrobe and hair stylist with my husband. Including where the hair is a little thinner for better solar collection when hats aren’t worn.

I like to think I’ve settled into my own style and will stick with it until the day I die. I do also love me a pair of New Balance running shoes.

OMG. Now I know how others feel when they find their internet twin. You ARE my husband. He only buys New Balance :fearful:

Some of us have fat feet ok? And New Balance is the only brand that comes in 4E. I know what I like, and I like New Balance. Specifically I wear US 8 4E 880s.

Today’s skating look makes no sense but it is what I had around. Also that shirt (from my first summer training camp) was older than every other skater on the ice.

So, a reminder just went out about the event tonight, invitations to which specified dress was semi formal. The reminders say dress is business casual. Let me point out again that the event is tonight. They really ought to get their act together better. I’m now waiting for a response to a query as to which the fuck thing they actually want, but I’m sure some of our low-income students have gone to expense that they probably really couldn’t afford to do the semi formal.

I’m guessing not a lot of people actually know the difference, especially students? They’ll probably wear whatever they want.

I hope you’re right there. But they may have done exactly what I did, which was to Google it and realize they didn’t have clothes.

I love the kittycone!!!

Urgh. Semi formal and business casual are very, very different levels of dress.
