But with go go boots instead of cowboy boots!
Now I’m looking at these, which are stackable and which would be great for if I ever do stuff in 10 lb bags again too: https://www.webstaurantstore.com/bakers-mark-2-6-gallon-shelf-ingredient-bin-with-1-2-cup-measuring-scoop/176BIN40.html
But I would need 8 for our current supplies and do I want to spend over 100 dollars on storage containers?!
That was something I grappled with for a while, but now that I’ve done it ( I have a bunch of cambro 2 gallon containers now) it honestly has made baking so much better and I don’t have to worry about bugs or mice. Still, it is a lot of cash to throw down for convenience.
I mean, the idea of losing 25 lbs of flour to ants is definitely on the horrific side, and we absolutely get ants in the fall, so I do need to figure out something. And this isn’t the worst possible prices – it’s not as cheap as 5 gallon food grade buckets, but it’s easier to use and means we can stack, which is necessary in our tiny place.
I’ll have to sidebar with Wizard. This would be my expense, not his, but it would take up a non-insignificant amount of kitchen space.
I would like the 3-6 months of food list that I just compiled to magically show up without me having to 1. shop, and 2. actually spend the money.
I bought one of those and I love it. I got a 25# bag of flour and the size I got doesn’t fit the whole thing but it’s a non issue because I just fill it up and put the big bag back in the other closet and this container lives on the pantry shelf. It’s very sturdy and nice. I might get more for the new house once I get around to more bulk food stuff
I, uh, kind of bought eight this morning.
I fully support this
I’m still waiting for them to show up filled with candy
I legit gasped when I clicked the link for the container and it was filled with Reese’s pieces. That is my new Object of Desire.
Yup.
A local Lustrolite or Fibo dealer
Now that my plumbing project needs to include remodeling half the bathroom before the plumbing can be finished
ETA ooooh it looks like there is a Lustrolite distributor here! New OoD: Arctic White panels in stock.
I acquired a 10 pc (I hate this term, 5 dishes and 5 lids) Pyrex container set today because I can’t keep barely getting by on what I had. I think these will serve me well. I only waited four months to finally buy them.
New OOD: Better pens for lineart.
I want a 3/4 size guitar.
I want many, many things for the house and for the baby.
However, what I really need is new underwear
This is relatable. I need new socks & undies. Everything else is much more pleasant to actually shop for.
I’d like a modern development environment. Writing everything in a text file is getting old.
I want high speed Internet. I’ve been the world champion of making do for a decade or so, and I think I’ve earned, say, 25mbps.
I want easy to install solar powered mechanical curtains/curtain rod that operate on a timer but don’t need to be internet-connected, without needing to do any of the research to figure out what to buy
After messaging the artist on Instagram I now own a print of this painting! Who knew I even desired this… but I love me a good chaparral. Thanks @GJT!
