We’re all thrilled! Except the dog. Son put her in there (when the water was still cold) ad she did not like it. And neither did I, so I banned him from doing that again. But I do think the dog likes us being outside more, at least. As long as no one makes her swim; she is not a fan.

I’ve got the lodge cast iron griddle and I love it. Most of my stuff is le creuset, but all the camping cast iron is lodge and I and super happy with it

Oh, now I’ve gone down such a rabbit hole of Lodge and want all the things. Especially the camping things… for D to cook on.
There are at least 5 different griddles on their website. I think I know which one I want (reversible griddle/grill pan, lifted handles) but I think I need to take some measurements in my kitchen!

Wait a few months and I’ll have an answer for you. Though they might need to be one way internet connected. H has made it his life’s mission to automate our new house and curtains are on that list. I don’t want anything that listens/records me in our home so he’s using home assistant (I think) and it only sends data one way or something. I don’t fully understand it because I have other things on my plate right now, but basically an app/sensor to control my curtains is in my future.

A mig welder. The grill I bought a couple years ago had a very nice cast iron grate but the posts that hold it are the same posts used for the standard grates that weigh 1/4 what this one does, so they’re starting to droop.

That’s just dumb. Why would they use better grates and not upgrade the support posts?

I am not even taking the time to lust after things at present. If I wanted it, I bought it. So I ordered a weighted full size electronic keyboard, bought 2 new books, an upright vacuum/dustbuster combo, a Bose bluetooth speaker in blue, new Uggs to replace my 8 yo pair, and many fruit trees and other plants. I don’t even feel remotely guilty. (In normal life I am the Queen of second hand and delayed gratification. It would have been months of agonising, boring everyone around me to tears talking about it, justifications, etc). It is oddly freeing to feel thia way.

I also have spent a lot more freely than I normally do, with some impulse purchases thrown in, and it has surprised me that it’s been a really good choice for my overall emotional attitude towards money right now.
