Objects of Desire

A bar cart. Our at-home alcohol usage has increased significantly in the last few months. I never made quarantine sourdough but I’m all about the quarantini. And Husband has suddenly decided he likes drinking, and even came around on bourbon!, so now we have a lot more bottles of things and nowhere to put them.

I like this one but don’t want to pay nearly $200 for it: https://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Foreside-Home-and-Garden-Oro-Bar-Cart/30511757/product.html?TID=Cart:Link:ProductLink:CartItems

And this one is nice but maybe too small? https://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Strick-Bolton-Reinhardt-Champagne-2-shelf-Serving-Cart/19390122/product.html?TID=Cart:Link:ProductLink:CartItems

A heavier tractor and/or a better welder for fixing broken tractor parts. Also a safe way to even shop for a tractor.

Puzzles, games, LEGOS, crafting and mid-project art pieces, chocolate you don’t want the kids to know you have…

So many wonderful possibilities. Very good table.

The best part was I showed it to SO and he was not opposed. I told him to save the link for future reference. :slightly_smiling_face:

Big cannisters for storing large amounts of flour, cornmeal, rice (like 25lb amounts).

I grabbed 10 gallon industrial bins that look like trashcans for flour, rice, beans, etc. If you can’t find locally, webstaurant had a decent number of options

ETA, the 10 gallon ones are like $18 each right now, so not bad!

Any idea how many ponds of flour fit in a10 gallon bin? I’ve been trying to sort storage myself and turns out I always judge volume by eyeballing. That’s hard to do online.

I’ll confirm today, but I’m pretty sure that I fit a 50# sack of flour into a 10 gallon container. Just need to be sure that I didn’t buy a 40# sack of bread flour so I need to find that receipt.

I think I looked this up and a 50 lb sack of flour requires like 8 gallons to hold it.

Yep! Thanks for the reminder on this, but yeah, 50# fit just fine into a 10 gallon bucket

Linen shirts.

I have two pairs of black linen pants, and they’re wonderful, but I have a shortage of wearable shirts for temps of 70°F+. I’m melting over here.

70f is nice and cool. We’re at 90f and rising because it was cool and cloudy this morning.

Seriously, light cotton is pretty good, though linen is better.

Oh, I completely agree. I have two cotton tshirts and everything else in my wardrobe is sweaters. We’ve been hitting 85° the last couple of days.
