I am updating my previous objects of desire to say that I found an actual mattress store that was open, found a clearance floor model extra firm bed that was 70% off of $1799 (do people actually buy beds that are that expensive?!?) and will be delivered to my house in 2 weeks all for a total of $670.
Now my object of desire is sheets that will fit this stupid thick bed. I didn’t realize it was 14 inches thick until I read the reviews online.

Two top sheets will do the trick for now. Just fold over the corners and tuck in for the bottom one.

Ah that’s a great idea. I don’t use top sheets for their actual purpose, so I have a pile of them sitting around unused.

Found a timber set of shelves, 650mm wide, 290mm deep, 1800mm high in maple colour. It’s part real timber (pine) and part MDF. A little more rugged than an IKEA Billy due to the shelves not being able to be adjusted.
Put it together last night.
And stocked it full of books this morning and popped the seed box on top. Nina has given it the sniff of approval.

I have a loom & leaf mattress. they only make it in firm or relaxed firm. We got firm and it’s amazing. Sadly it is not under $600 but they do deliver with white glove service and have a longer than usual return policy.

Well we desired an object. Then we bought an object. An arguably overpriced (even on special) swing set. But high quality - especially the frame. Years of fun. And the swing seats all seem interchangeable these days - attaches with carabiners.
Some regrets about not getting the wrecking ball swing attachment and living out my Miley dreams. “Came in like a wrecking ball…”

I want a TREAT.
Not even anything particularly specific… some candy, a pizza, Chinese takeout, a donut, a pastry, stuffed grape leaves from the Greek restaurant, a coffee I didn’t make in my house. A treeeeeeat.

Related: I really want the set of funky monkey bars for small backyards. I would get the swing attachment and then just sit back and watch Ewok play aaaall day.
