Objects of Desire

Your fridge must not be annoyingly stuffed like mine is. I always have to move things around, things get lost in the back, kids put open drinks right in the front that then fall out. I think the fancy fridge will solve all my fridge problems. Or at the very least, make all my wildest dreams come true. (We showed the kids Napoleon Dynamite recently.)

I share a fridge with five other people.

So then you REALLY need it.

Will it make terrible roomate confine his food to his allotted space?

Yes, because he can use the old fridge.

We would need additional space if we had additional fridges. This becomes a more and more complicated problem.

Object of desire: My favourite peach mango salsa. I tried a different brand and I hate it so I’m eating plain tortilla chips. They taste like the lack of delicious salsa.

Ohhhhh an inferior peach mango salsa is so infuriating.

One of my regular college meals was stoned wheat thins + cream cheese + peach mango salsa (because it all lasted a long time on the shelf/in the fridge and I could only get to the grocery store once every two weeks or so). I still miss that meal sometimes! Somehow Wizard isn’t as excited about it as I am. :stuck_out_tongue:

5 acres of fertile land and about a dozen animals. Maybe some goats and alpaca. Definitely some herding dogs. Please just give me a Stardew Valley life please. I would like to never sit at a desk again and also flirt with all the single lads and lasses in town.

There’s a house near mine that has more bedrooms so I could have my own office/craft room and kiddo’s room wouldn’t be right next to ours and it has a huge porch with plenty of room to have a hot tub. The yard is also smaller so it’d be less exterior maintenance.

But it would push back FIRE by almost two years and we both agreed that we’d rather retire sooner.

But I want it! pout

I want wood.
hehehe

Seriously, I want a piece of lumber that has character and maybe live edge? and is basically art, but in wood form. I want it for my dining table. But the internet searches aren’t helping me find this wood. Where do artisans find their beautiful wood for the amazing furniture that costs more than I can spend?

A relative who does some live edge wood working has had good luck on Craigslist and asking people selling firewood. But then, we live in lumber country. Not sure about elsewhere.

I mean, I’m sure I have plenty that you could have, but cutting, planing and transporting could be complicated.

Hopefully that shows up. Auction of a pizza place’s gear. 60" range for cheap

I want a closet by the front door.

We went to an open house that has a similar layout to us and they had put a closet by the stairs. They also had a small closet with glass doors which they had put alcohol in, but would be perfect for yarn.

I like your priorities.

I want more space. I’m happy in a shared house, but I want a room big enough for a double bed, a desk and an armchair, and enough storage space that I don’t have to keep things precariously stacked on top of the wardrobe. And Ideally I don’t want to spend half of my salary to get it :joy:

This looks like fun. Do not need, though. Also would be clutter. But fuuuun.

The clutter puts me off more than the cost.

Additional water soluble crayons for the toddler and I to play with.

These are crazy expensive art supplies for a kid. I have a handful from when I studied at an art college and it is so much fun playing with them with her. I bought a box of cheap ones for her a while back but they are not the same kind of magic.

Maybe for her birthday if she is still interested.
