I use a carrier a lot for this. Otherwise watering while holding a toddler becomes a feat of strength. It can be annoying when a little hand and finger want to touch the water.
Pretty sure I want a wallet I can clip onto my belt. I’m already rocking the phone belt clip trend (I’m just a little ahead of the curve there, I swear), and stupid women’s clothing with stupid 3" deep pockets led to a situation where I had to drive back into work, 45 minutes each way, late at night to see if I needed to cancel all my credit cards (I didn’t; it was there on the floor beside my desk chair.)
ETA: then I had to be back at 8 am. Would have just slept on the office floor if not for the dog.
I have this and I love it. I keep it in my bra but it would work on a belt.
A clip style in your bra? Seems like it would poke. Not an option for me regardless, as the wallet would be larger than all other bra contents combined but belt is.
I get stuck in this loop.
Decide I want something. Look at it new and decide I should buy second hand instead. Find a good second hand option but then decide against it because I could buy new for that price.
Could you negotiate on the price (I suggest this but would probably never ask myself)?
I made my own witch’s hat from pliable branches, black fabric and a needle & thread in high school. Is it an option to make your own? Are there any easily bendable thin branches available from local bushes or trees to make the frame?
I want very nice slippers. I had very nice slippers, but the dogs have more or less trashed them. So I want very nice slippers that are also uninteresting to dogs.
That loop is killer. And no, the way the antiques mall works is that a bunch of different people have booths where their stuff is, but the owners aren’t there; the people at the cash registers sell stuff for anyone with a booth. So I’m sure they don’t have the power to negotiate.
Hmm, that’s an idea. I certainly could acquire bendable thin branches from my own yard. Did you use branches to make it stick up?
Bonus points if you shape the branches into a pentagon for the brim!
Yep. I don’t think I took a photo of it, but it lasted a good few years - and it was a very lazy job, taking your time with it would make a nice hat.
I found this tutorial that explains all the math! And no branches or wire or anything, I guess if you use premium felt (which is also exciting, I thought a homemade hat would have to be wool which I can’t do) it is stiff enough? https://www.deliacreates.com/make-witch-hat-in-any-size-tutorial/
New Object of Desire: black premium felt.
3mm+ thickness should do it. I actually made a Christmas tree for Duckling out of felt last year and completely forgot, but of course it would work!
Yeah a thicker felt should definitely work. It holds its shape well and can be molded with steam
Stainless steel Bento boxes with little sauce tubs.
Stylish.
It vibrates and the hands move for notifications to presets of my choosing. Looooveit
Also it works as a watch. Without being tied to my phone. Which is surprisingly difficult to find in a watch-looking hybrid watch.
It is good that the companies making these fitness trackers eventually realised that not everyone wanted to virtue signal how fit and healthy they are by having a rubber band on their wrist aka early fitbit designs - and maybe people just want a watch that looks like a watch?
Same happened with electric car design - not everyone wants everyone else to know they drive a Prius.
Yes!
I used my Garmin for a specific purpose and did appreciate getting notifications so when I’m on call I don’t have to constantly look at my phone.
So I wanted that function still, but don’t want to wear my Garmin everywhere, and also really miss wearing a watch. That looks like a watch and for which I don’t need my cheater glasses - which has become a problem w digital screens in the last year.
I gave up on watches after my last round in this thread and started just searching “smart jewelry” and found this.
I clicked “buy” on the belt clip wallet referenced above last night.
