Smoky kale and chickpea stew! I make that a lot! It’s so good!
GOOD EYE
Thanks for several meal ideas!
Butternut squash/sausage rigatoni
Chicken salad sandwiches
Beef tacos (hopefully Barbacoa if I get it together to slow cook it)
Fried rice
Pulled pork with mac and cheese
Burrito bowls
This looks gr8 for next week
Oh that does look good
I am a golden god. The things I have meal prepped in the past 24 hours:
- Bean and bacon soup
- Roast chicken (including the wet brining portion)
- Chicken stock from the roast chicken carcass
- Fried giblets/liver for the neighbor’s doggo
- Two trays of roasted veggies
- Black pepper chicken stir fry (I chopped/prepped and Wizard did the cooking while I bathed Chickadee)
I still want to make some oatcakes and some bread but I am pleased.
I am in awe.
My half done meal plan so far are the easiest things I can think of and almost none will be prepped in advance.
I refuse to cook on weeknights, because otherwise I lose my mind and Chickadee yells at us a lot.
You are mazing and a god/dess of productivity.
My meal plan is made and so far I have not deviated! I will maybe also do some kind of curried eggplant because I was expecting 2 which is one more than needed and got 4. I’m also picturing a beet/feta lunch salad and even bought beets for it!
Paneer and rice w coleslaw
Plov
Veggie burgers w coleslaw
Pasta and eggplant parm
Singapore noodles and deconstructed
Cauliflower cheese soup
this triggered an idea for an orzo eggplant salad for lunch to use up the excess roast eggplant from a curry this evening (it was supposed to be last evening, but instead last evening we had grilled cheese and salad). perhaps I will add walnuts for the extra protein.
I looooove a cottage pie. Yum!
Me too. DH didn’t grow up eating mashed potatoes so it can be a hard sell for him but you know what? I love them. So suck my dick.
Lol if I only ate what I grew up eating, I’d eat like four things.
He prefers twice baked potatoes. Who has the TIME (his grandma)
OMG my husband is the same to the point it is petering down to the kids. But we did IKEA this weekend and he ate them just fine so guess who is eating them weekly all winter???
I’ve never had twice baked potatoes and just like them up. It looks like a much more tedious non-soup version of loaded baked potato soup. Or I guess just a more tedious loaded baked potatoes (I want it to be soup weather here, it is very not soup weather yet).
I mean, I prefer twice baked potatoes as well, but the person making the food gets to make the call, and the person receiving the food is grateful and does the dishes.
In my whole life, I never imagined there was a person who wouldn’t eat mashed potatoes.
I mean, this is on me for failure of imagination, but still, mind blown.
My husband has a “crocktober” fest where the company sponsors a crock pot meal competition. First place this year gets $1000!! It’s also super fun with food trucks and a big bounce house for kids.
Help me with your absolute favorite crock pot recipes!! (This will also help me as I’m trying to plan more crock pot meals over the next few crazy weeks).
