May Challenge - “May the Force Be with You”

Your goals were likely more ambitious than mine.

Not really - but that is a nice thought!

I totally went for the low-hanging fruit, then changed the rules in the middle of the game.

I am far better at self care, personal hygiene and my house is habitable. This is very different from the start of the month. It has definitely pulled me out of my apathy, seeing people post on here and being reminded that I have things that make me feel better.

I’m calling it a success- I was able to go on bike rides 3 times a week, with the exception of one week where I only rode once because my bike was in the shop and I sliced my thumb open :upside_down_face: . At any rate, I made huge strides in my cardio, which was the main goal.
I didn’t foam roll every single day, but I foam rolled most days, which is a dramatic improvement haha.

No badge for me. Life got harder due to increased sleep deprivation, and I abandoned my goals.

Doing 5-7 minutes of yoga most days early in the month has turned into getting up to Day 5 of Adriene’s 30 day HOME Yoga challenge. I am very pleased with my efforts, and am absolutely loving the daily yoga sessions. Have realised I am at peak energy in the afternoons, so even if I am slobbing around in my dressing gown doing sweet FA till 11am, I can be productive and energetic all afternoon. A bit of a revelation!! I have been doing a quick 7 minute Meditation immediately following yoga, since I’m already down on the ground. Seems to work well. So I’m calling it a win for the month.

I’m pleased with the challenge so far, I’m at 325 things out of the house, I’m a couple of days behind but intend to catch up this weekend, with another 140 things to go.

That is AMAZING! I did a “at least one thing/day” declutter challenge for a month. Once you start, you usually find a few things all at once. But I doubt my monthly total was that high. And for documents, I didn’t count the individual docs (too lazy, which explains the need to declutter).

Yeah I’ve seen some people count individual pieces of paper. I shredded the paper things and then counted the grocery bags of shredded paper that someone took for their guinea pig’s bedding on buy nothing

Recycling it too! Bonus points.

I failed this challenge, I was doing great the first ten days or so and then… nothing. I can’t believe it is already the end of the month.

I finally ran into being blocked from posting! The Group Gratitude Journal is not pleased with my consecutive posts. Still recording daily in the rewirements app though.

I ran again today! Four miles this time, and I only stopped twice (once because there was traffic when I was crossing a street, and once to check out a little free library).

Ton of excercise yesterday, including an hour spent foraging. Some gardening today, but more angst over the murder in Minneapolis and fallout and what the fuck we do now.

Another foraging trip planned for in the morning (“trip” to a deserted field 1/2 mile away).

Yesterday I filed papers, put away yarn, AND washed, dried, and put away the comforter.
