Tap danced today!
My movement today was almost comically impeded by so many things. YouTube wouldnāt load on my computer, finally got that sorted & get on the mat. Today was a relaxation practice and Iām just settling in and a super loud saw starts up on my neighborās porch directly outside, then the baby starts crying. Thankfully she went back to sleep and I could ignore the sawing.
Then B was a little PITA on our long walk turned short walk because he loses his ever loving mind when he even thinks he sees a stupid goose.
But either way, I moved.
ETA: almost forgot. In the middle of my practice a client called, and itās a hard to get a hold of client so I felt like I had to answer the call.
Two nice walks yesterday.
Rowing + PT at the gym this morning (plus the walk to the gym), and hopefully a good walk later today too.
I walked kiddo to daycare, then I walked home again.
Spent 90 minutes hurtling myself into the air on 1/8th inch blades over frozen water.
Also biked there and back.
I didnāt walk yesterday because of weather and having to bring my laptop home. But I did do my arm weights, and this morning I swept the living room.
I did the first strength Day today for my postpartum program. Itās alarming how hard it was haha. Itās been 9 1/2 weeks since I was in the gym last, Pre-baby obviously. Iām definitely going to be super sore. It was all lower body work, squats and lateral leg raises and such. Kudos to my husband for taking the baby while he was on a work call so that I could go down and do it. His conference call was treated to some nice baby coos while he was talking.
Did YWA day 9 today and will later get in lots of steps wearing an almost 20lb baby on my front because we have to do our weekly shopping (3 stores).
Excited that Iām starting to notice more strength with knee to nose poses and planks. Makes me feel very appreciative of this body to be able to stick with it and feel the strength returning.
Biked 13 miles and skated for 90 minutes, less hurtling today more edge work.

Walked 1km in pieces. I also snuck in some squats and wall push ups.
I was driven to the mall in pouring rain and walked and walked SO MUCH until I was exhausted. It may have been 25 minutes including my bathroom break. I did not buy any baby clothes because even old Navy has the audacity to charge $6 for a long sleeve onesie. Those are aunt prices.
Ugh, Friday was the first day this month that I pretty much did not move. Today I knew I was walking to a friendās party (2 mi RT). I did walk there, but then another friend insisted on giving me a ride home. I like my friends, but why are they all so opposed to me getting free exercise?
Swam for 45 minutes. Mostly just bobbing around, but with a wriggly 15kg weight to manage.
I did stretches for my hips right before bed.
went for a 2hr mtb ride with a good friend from my old job who came to visit. We stopped for coffee halfway, and it was fun to reconnect and catch up while pedaling
We count my bobbing around with a 5?lb weight, so Iām sure we count yours with a big energetic weight. Both count as swimming. I assume I will swim lengths again in 11 years or so.
I am working towards going swimming. And walking there and back!
1 hr of skating, but not great skating. Worked my butt off though. Plus 40 mins of biking.
Yesterday I went to Pound class at the gym. Today I am going to an all-genders Dance Dance Party Party event. Normally this is for female-identifying folks only. Basically you go to a dance studio and people take turns DJing and you just dance with wild abandon as though you were in your living room. Itās pretty fun. Since this oneās all-genders, I am taking Boyfriend.
I ran a mile and a half on the treadmill.
