How Did You Move Today?

Deadlift day. Worked up to a top set of 545 x 2. Felt like nothing. Soon I’ll be starting the conditioning phase for my contest in April.

Thanks for sharing that. It really resonated with me.

I’m so glad! I read it this morning and it was one of those things that just kind of washed over me and I knew I needed to hear it.

My incision is finally looking good enough I’m cleared for exercise! (I wasn’t at 6 weeks. I’m 8 weeks out now. She basically told me to self assess when it’s healed enough lol. Perks of being a nurse I guess?) downside is husband has a workshop for work today and tomorrow, so I doubt I’ll get to the gym to do my Expecting and Empowered routine. Friday start it is haha.

To move today, I plan to take baby out in the ergo. Debating between taking the dog, so she’ll be better behaved, or leaving her home so I can walk faster/further. (She really liked Sniffaris)

Spinning baby and ball squats and stuff at work.

Pom Squad class tonight! Exactly what it says on the tin; you are given shiny mylar pompoms and it’s cheerleading moves. It’s hilarious and I end up laughing too hard to notice “oh no, I am exercising, this sucks.”

There’s a yoga class right after, might stay for that depending on how I feel.

I also needed to hear this today. Thank you.

Ugh, I’m back at work this week and have been collapsing into a grumpy ball on the couch when I get home.

The good-ish news from my phone app is that even though I’m only walking ~1.5 miles during the day, I am climbing 12-15 flights of stairs! (This is accurate, I work on the fifth floor and have meetings throughout the building all day, always taking the stairs)

I stretched my wrists. They are very tense. They are now less tense.

Also the toddler requested we do yoga and “lots of exercise!!!” so I would now like to not move at all for the rest of the day.

Went climbing tonight and did my first 5.9 ever! Not clean, but who cares?!?! It was so much fun

I also did day 7! Only having to double up one day so far is like some kind of miracle.

You’re killing it! I’m so impressed with us for sticking to it!

So I didn’t did a walk yesterday as I was exhausted from work but I walked round the block twice tonight to get a walk in after work. I can’t wait until I can ride my bike to work again, it’s so much easier than trying to fit in something after work!

Dance mat (with cat attachment that’s making it difficult for me to do a few minutes before work this morning). I’m trying to do it every morning just to loosen up a little before I sit for way too many hours at work since my walk time keeps being encroached upon. Cat shall be evicted.

Yesterday moved wood chips in the yard and went for a 30 minute walk.

Dog made the walk yesterday short, frustrating, and did I mention frustrating? Lol. But I DID go outside, so that’s at least a win. I’m going to try again today without the dog and hope that the lack of exercise several days in a row for her doesn’t result in a demon. Wish me luck!

Solidarity. B has been being a little butthead recently. And even walking didn’t cure it.

Yeah. Lil Pup really needs a play date and or more training time, since she does sooo much better after that, but we’re just overbooked for that. Ugh.

Plan is tomorrow SirB will try to work while wearing Latte since he’ll be working from home, so that I can hopefully get down to the building gym for the first time, and start the strength portions of the E&E recovery plan. :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

I wish I could steal her for a puppy play date, I feel like they would tire each other out.

Good luck on getting to the gym! I’m majorly impressed with you even having plans to get to the gym at 8 weeks PP, it was all I could do to get on my yoga mat and flail for a while at that point, let alone leave my apartment (even for the building gym!)

Well, my major diastasis recti and inability to sit up without log rolling is a strong motivator :disappointed_relieved:
