I forgot to pick up my buy nothing item on the way home from the day’s other outings, so I get to go take a 50-60 minute walk now. That should make up for yesterday’s unwanted ride.

Also, I kayaked this morning.

It is! Except, the music is truly HORRIBLE. I mean, everyone else seems to like it, I am just An Old and I don’t like top 40 or dance-y stuff that’s autotuned AF so that every singer sounds exactly the same and kind of… metallic? But then, I don’t really like the music they use in any of my classes at the gym either. Oddly, I actually recognized a couple songs tonight because they play them at zumba class!

Anyway, I’m used to ignoring the awfulness of the music at the gym so it’s no big deal. They did play a few 80s songs that made me really happy.

I’m now sweaty and disgusting, hooray!

Today and the past few days I’ve actually been foam rolling and stretching (in addition to the daily dog walks). Today I also played around on some monkey bars and attempted to climb a rope hehe

I did some squats and push ups. I tried push ups on a slightly deeper incline and after fussing a bit, found a spot next to my front door that is a good new level of difficulty for me.

Kept up over the weekend and even got my yoga AND a shower in before H had to leave for work today. Exciting stuff.

In actual exciting stuff, over the weekend I was able to do crow! Only for about 3 seconds but I’ve never been able to hold it at all but I think thanks to carrying Bobbin around my arms are strong enough to support the posture. Excited to play with it more.

Biked to work; 4 miles; in the utterly gross pouring just-above-freezing rain. Do not recommend.

Yesterday involved a walk and some rowing at the gym. Today was walking the dog, and will probably also have a workout at the gym.

Foot is acting up a little. I am Displeased but continuing to do my PT and my exercise. I’m hoping it’s just getting used to increased activity and that this will go away in a few weeks, as opposed to this being what happens from now on when I try to have an actually active life.

Friday was kind of a bust but Sat and Sunday both had quite a bit of walking:

Sat: Walked ~2 miles to/from getting my oil changed with stops along the way for coffee and a haircut

Sun: Walked to get groceries in the morning and then to our local ‘downtown’ to exchange a Christmas gift. ~4 miles total?

Today I did lots of stairs again since it was a workday.

Now I just need to carry more things to add strength components to all the walking…

2.5 mile run with run buddy! Walked and talked for a bit after. Spent the entire time talking about fucking. It was a good run.

Shoveled for 30 minutes today (surprise snowstorm). Also shoveled 30 minutes yesterday. Shoveling is work.

Still keeping up with the yoga too, shocking.
