Today I walked 1.9 miles down the hill, consumed adult beverages in not-close proximity to two friends, and walked 1.9 miles back up the hill.
3km walk with my cousin and her dog
Chicken arms are okay as long as I stick to 3 sets and donāt try 5. Itās like they go from fine to utter failure and thereās no sweet space in between where I get nicely sore. CHICKEN ARMS.
Big long hike today. I thiiiink I avoided the poison oak. I think. I Tecnuād anyways.
I havenāt done any stretching the last couple of days, it feels good to get back into it.
I did some stretching this morning after I woke up! It felt good. My body actually moves instead of waddling like a brick.
20 minutes of yoga
Todayās practice implemented rabbit pose, and I canāt tell if Iām having trouble with it because of my stomach gets in the way or because itās a new way to move my body and Iāll get used to it.
Happy baby has also been giving me trouble - my legs feel strained when I pull down on my feet, fine if Iām pulling at my legs, though. Maybe I should do so more.lower body flexibility work.
I purchased the boho beautiful yoga Retreat program Monday and have been doing both an hour long yoga practice on my lunch break as well as the 30 min evening classes (yoga or meditation) itās been wonderful making this time for myself every day. It was well worth the money
All movement is suspended until if and when snow stops
Today I practiced yoga for the first time in ⦠a month? Maybe longer? I need more of this in my life.
6km walk with my friend
I have hardcore fallen off with my daily movement intention but Iām hoping to get back to it. Yesterday we had a nice family walk to squeeze the last bit out of the sunshine (glad we did since its 44* compared to yesterdayās 65*!)
Today I did 20 minutes of yoga and my PT exercises and I feel awesome. Might bundle up and try a walk solo with Bobbin and B today since the lower temps will mean less people out and less to manage wrt staying distanced on the sidewalk, plus itās still sunny.
40 minutes of yoga!!! So good
27 minutes of yoga that included some hip stretches that I want to hug they felt so good
3.64km run during my lunch break, also did 15 minutes of restorative yoga when I woke up.
I have decided that playing with a toddler is my new fitness activity because damn my arms, core, and legs are burning from all the picking up, putting down, dancing, bouncing, and holding.
Outside of that I tried my first true Pilates class yesterday. A friend of mine is a teacher and wanted to try out a new platform for teaching online before she launches. Iāve only ever done a Pilates/Spin combo class before and this was a much better experience. I donāt know if it is me being in a better headspace about my body and my abilities, or being at home and feeling less judged, or if the environment of the studio I used to go to was more toxic than I realized but it was just awesome. Weāre going to do it weekly and Iām excited for it.
On deck for movement today is more toddler play, porch gardening, and gentle stretching.
So I havenāt kept up with the yoga but I have tried to go for short walks each day, as much as I can handle, just to get out of the house.
Iāve been doing pretty okay with keeping up with Darebee. Not perfect ā I have little bouts where I stop ā but then I get back into it. Since itās about forming a habit, not about perfection, that pleases me.
This brought to you by my sore legs.
I think itās week 3 of May? I kind of lost track of how I was counting. Anyway, I ran three miles today, and only had to dodge a few other people because itās cooler and cloudy today. So I think Iām on track to meet my goal.
So Iāve continued biking for 3-4 days each week, and I can tell my cardio is fiiiiinalllly improving! The main challenge is now the weather is getting warmer- 87 degrees F is a pretty big jump, and Iām getting sweaty just walking to pick up my mail
I left my apartment today for a walk with the promise of free knitting needles on a free stuff table, but when I got there they were all gone
