Okay, that makes way more sense. I was going to ask how you’re storing that many potatoes, but as I made it further down the list it made less and less sense to me
Yeah, the numbers you want are farther to the right – e.g. it says “3 cnt Granny Smith”, that’s 3 count Granny Smith apples.
Did some overhauling of the spice/tea storage today.
Top shelf: refills
Middle shelf: tea
Bottom shelf: extracts, oversized jars, and (3) types of salt
This reorg spurred on by beginning to fix mediocre DIY (the original pegboard blocked access to that drawer)
Small (for us) in person trip. No good sourcing eggs on sale, alas. Many thanks for the green tea recommendations over on the random Qs thread, SirB is excited to try it. Baby is on a berry kick, so we grabbed sale raspberries again.
Eta oops forgot to put baby’s loaf of bread visible.
Thanks to this thread, I’ve added peppermint chocolate to my list for next week. If you’re ever in a country that does Whittaker’s, do yourself a favour.
I am currently demolishing a block of coconut.
I will have a grocery shop to post in a couple of hours!
As promised! A week’s groceries for $165 + $10 delivery. I bought extra ice cream because it was on sale. I didn’t stock up on any pantry items this week. Oh, and we got strawberries and blueberries from the local grocer.
You’ve changed hummus brands!
This is food I recognise. I find other country’s brands and packaging strange and unsettling.
I recognize the Ben and Jerry’s, and that’s all that matters.
Also, I am jealous of this fresh corn.
No, this is my preferred brand! But I can’t get it from my local shops or Woolies, so I only get it when we order from Coles. Duckling also likes most brands so I mix it up for him.
Yes, I spend so much time working out what other people’s food is because they aren’t instantly recognisable. At least fresh fruit and veg has a higher recognition rate.
I expect to see your grocery shopping soon, eh?
Agreed.
It will be delicious (according to the people in my house who eat it, anyway - Ponder and Duckling). I do not like corn.
You’ll have to wait until our next order arrives.
Anytime this month works for me
(Or, uh, year, because who even knows what month it is anymore)
Alright - our weekly delivery. Missing some protein because we have frozen mince and chicken breast from previous shops. Fruit and veg we usually get mid week from local fruit shop. Plus working through a tray of mangoes from last week.
A few interesting substitutes - like 2x 150g chips instead of the 165g bag ordered. 3L of normal milk vs 2L of fancier milk.
Barramundi, coconut rice and broccolini for dinner.
Here’s my yesterday supplemental groceries for the week (I’m buying work lunch+dinners through a meal service this month)
Heyyyyy egg twin.
Haha, I thought that when I saw yours and probably wouldn’t have remembered to snap mine without your post They’re my favorite store eggs for sure! Such orange yolks!
Yeah I’m trying to remember the organization but someone had a breakdown by different organic and “good” egg brands versus their actual quality and transparency. This brand was the top. Since I haven’t found a viable local farm close by, it’s what we try to do now.
It weirds me out that we have the same berry brand in Aus and the US.
