This (and other flavours) were a hit with Mr. Cereal last Christmas. I like them as sauce with stir-fried chicken and vegetables but he also eats it with his breakfast eggs. I see the regular flavours in the supermarket but they might have another new and exclusive flavour at OOAK again?

Half pound Reese’s PB cup. Impressively big, but not so big a man can’t eat the whole thing in one sitting. I am eyewitness. :astonished: Sold at Shoppers and Rexall.

I’m try to remember what I’ve gotten for Mr. Meer in the past. The only thing I can think of now is a book of hard NT Times puzzles because he’s the type to do them in ink. It’s useful for when there’s a lull at work as an alternative to more internet scrolling.

Oh usually he did for his own clothes and hates the experience so one year when he has been complaining about the state of his closet I bought a bunch of good basic shirts from Kohl’s in his size in lightweight fabrics and a variety of colors, all in his size. The gift was saving him several hours of having to go shopping.

This year I’m getting my dad a pair of stupidly expensive, nice work gloves: Leather Gloves, Mitts, & Wool Liners | Vermont Glove

My husband usually gets Legos.

Dh wants another pair of crocs to keep by the garage door.

Son-in-law 2 is the hardest. I don’t see him often enough to keep a running list. He doesn’t like many things to eat. I’m thinking some of those little waterproof notebooks?

What do you know about son-in-law2? What is your budget?

He’s an electrical engineer, kind of a prepper, and very sweet. We go camping every summer but I don’t think he’s really outdoorsy.

I looked back through my notes and maybe a Dremel?

Oh, the notebooks tie in well with that
Does he already have a solar or handcrank radio/flashlight?
More knives?
Does he watch Alone? Their kit lists are great prepper gift guides. Also you always need more paracord.
Ferro rod
Cast iron pot
The dremmel sounds like a thing people want. My Dad and brother each have one and I think they enjoyed them

Ideas list for an actual adult man in my life, YMMV:

  • A pair of his exact same running shoes that are falling apart but he won’t replace until far beyond
  • A nice paper topo/trail map of a state forest we like to visit a lot
  • Books and short stories
  • Magazine subscription to Orion Magazine (nature and culture)
  • Box of Rancho Gordo
  • A handcarved wooden coffee scoop

I used to have a neighborhood source but they seem to not be stocking anymore, alas.

Update for this year, there’s a set of comedians he likes coming through the local town, so I got him and his wife a pair of tickets…will get something little to drop in stockings, but possibly shows are an option for others?

(Show prices were reasonable, but I did have to deal with the spawn that is ticketmaster which doesn’t thrill me. Unfortunately there were no other options in this case.)

+1 for shows.

Seeing this thread title prompted me to get the show tix for BF that I’d been procrastinating. So that’s done. And only then did I read your post

Following up to report that I have purchased Rancho Gordo beans for my husband. He will have something to open on Xmas besides the other thing I’m getting for him, which is an experience-type gift in March (a couple of days at a beach house so he can procure seafood to his heart’s content). I also got him a fancy chocolate.

And I made sure to explicitly tell/remind him that we do stockings and that I don’t fill my own stocking.

ETA I will also be present at the beach house

I hope next year you don’t even need to tell/remind!!!

A beach house is a great gift to yourself as well

I got some nice coffee as a gift for someone else and Mr. Meer was eyeing it so I guess I’ll go get more at some point for him. One was sea salt caramel flavor, the other was chocolate lava cake flavor.
