And in the sun
My snake plant is flowering. Which is lovely, but probably means it’s rootbound
I thought maybe anemone, but when I googled they looked different. There are apps for looking up plants which may help, Plantsnap and Plantifier are a couple that I saw if you’re interested.
Lovely time of year here
One of our irises is blooming.
Still no leads on the orange flowers, but they and the wisteria don’t seem to be doing each other any harm (unlike the toddler busily pulling them apart).
Your orange flower looks like trumpet vine to me.
Hmm. There’s quite a bit of trumpet vine growing around the corner from here, but the leaves of this plant look quite different. You might be looking at the leaves of the probably-wisteria. Look at the very top left of my photo; the leaves remind me of nasturtium but aren’t as round. I’ll definitely get a picture once the flowers have opened!
Can you take a closer picture of the leaves too, please?
I will! Maybe not today because it’s rainy, but soon.
Thanks; I’d like to see it too.
The flowers aren’t open yet but here’s a better picture of the leaves.
Also a very pretty rose, and some irises and azaleas from the graveyard.
The Denver Botanic Gardens on FB has some lovely tulip videos right now: https://www.facebook.com/denverbotanicgardens/videos/289780172019019/
Is that miner’s lettuce on top? It looks so similar, but the red flowers!
The leaves do look very similar! But google informs me that miner’s lettuce is small. This appears to be a climbing plant that has gotten over five feet tall climbing up the wisteria(?) and fence.
Oh yeah that’s definitely not any bog standard claytonia I know of. AHHH WHAT IS THIS COOL THING.
I think it may be Lonicera sempervirens (coral or trumpet honeysuckle), a native vine to the eastern US.
Crow with the win!!! I’m 99% sure that’s it. Awesome! It’s nice to see that it’s native and hummingbirds and bees like it.
