When our son was born - he turns 25 in a couple of weeks - our lovely neighbour gave us a bearded iris plant, amazingly it has survived. We moved a couple of years ago and my DH insisted we dig up the iris plant and bring it with us. We down-sized to an apartment and donโ€™t have much garden space but we do have a courtyard. DH planted the irises in a pot and lo and behold DSโ€™s Birthday irises are flowering!

Not sure what this is? The shrub was taller than me.

At a butterfly exhibit, this had had four butterflies mobbing it seconds before but I guess they were camera shy. Not sure what this plant is called either.

One of our neighbors has been putting out cut flowers to share. The rose and purple flowers are from them and the daffodils are from our front yard. Brightens up my day!
