from seed! it’s my first year and i bug out every day at how lovely and abundant they are
Gorgeous!
Sooooo pretty
Oh yeh I would too! They are glorious
@madgeylou, this little flower seems like it might be up your alley so I wanted to post a pic. It’s Coreopsis, but I have no idea if it is ever an annual or in seed form. I bought it as a perennial plant. Just wanted you to see it.
oh my gosh it’s beautiful! thank you for
showing me!
We have a few things blooming in the garden despite the cooler weather
The last blooms on this multi headed sunflower
Cheerful bright yellow marigolds
Pale yellow cosmos
These swan river daisies that hid from the possums
Society garlic flowers that the four year old loves to snack on
And most importantly, tomatoes!
The pale yellow cosmos are so cute! I’ve never seen them in that color before.
That’s gorgeous, whoa.
Brown Boronia. In the same way coriander tastes like dishwasher to some of us, not everyone can smell Boronia. It’s beautiful and native to the local area.
I had no idea. The smell of boronias is so strong to me, my eyes sting and I can’t breathe around them. Kings Park has that whole section of them and I would have to keep at least 50 m away if they were in bloom.
They are so beautiful and the smell would be pleasant if it wasn’t so strong. I would say they are the strongest smell I have ever experienced by far!
This orchid I was given as a gift while it was flowering (kind of like a bunch of flowers). We shoved it in a tree after the blooms died and it fell out and got tangled in a bush. I thought it died but here it is!
We mowed our wildflowers because they were half dead and now that they’re coming back I discovered some yellow volunteers! I’m guessing some variety of rain lily?
Are they a fall crocus? Or am I misinterpreting their size?
Probably not just because we’re into the depths of hell, I mean summer, so fall temperatures are a ways off. Looks like we’re also at the southern edge of where crocuses grow. The internet says they like growing in spring or fall but right now we’re usually in the +90F temperatures so unless they like that probably not?
I had no idea there were fall crocuses!
