Bridgerton

Fucking LOVE the actress for Lady Danbury. She’s spectacular at all the mannerisms.

India is also great at Charlotte.

The casting is all fantastic.
Older Charlotte’s hair is an ongoing source of joy.
The show becomes more complex as it goes on. I started out thinking it was fine and now I’m genuinely into it.

It is on my radar but I am saving it for my next “too tired to exist, need binge media” day.

I’m so glad they had the scene with Charlotte and George making out in front of the staff because of all those stupid romance novels that forget about the staff all over. But also :joy: those poor things, fleeing the room.

I love it. I feel the same way about that scene as I feel about when in movies they don’t forget their purse and coats inside restaurants,

I’m loving it so much. We’ve only watched through episode 3. If Ry tries to workout tonight so we can’t watch after the girls go to bed I’m going to bed so mad! I’m just sad already that there are only 6 episodes :sob:

I just finished it. It was the best Bridgerton.

It was a low bar but it had the most complex plot of any of them so far. Probably because it was pure shondaland and not based on the original (diverting but not very good) books.it feels very scandal -esque in the direction

It is exactly the sort of media I like to watch. Ergo it is high quality. I want to pat all the fabrics.

Summary

Perfect awkward briliant writing. SO AWKWARD RUN OUT NOW AND HOPE THEY DONT HURT THEMSELVES. can you imagine being the ones that have to do the clean up…

4 episodes in.

Summary

Ep4 all about George. So, so hard. My BFF pointed out the Queen doesnt seem to like any of her children or even be upset about the deaths at the start of the show, and im wondering if its trauma and burn out from decades of managing all of this.

Also Violet should not be 15. The queen is only 17 and her youngest seems to be older than Violets eldest, unless her idea of “too old to have a child” is 30, i assumed her daughters were 35+. Which means her boys are older. Like. The numbers.dont add up. She has THIRTEEN KIDS.

ALSO didnt realise Lady Danbury had any children at all. Big fan of Coral.

Oooh, I didn’t even notice the age thing! Good catch.

Summary

I really like that Violet’s father isn’t racist like his wife.

Lady Danbury’s grandson marries Hyacinth (I think) in one of the later books. She makes a comment that all of her children are idiots like their father and he’s the only grandchild she likes.
