It will, your plan price is not phone dependant!
At the risk of sounding ignorant and also very old…I don’t really understand prepaid. Is it like month to month? Do they refuse to store your data/backup your phone? Why is it so much cheaper? Prepaid used to mean you had to stop at a convenience store to buy a card with more minutes on it and recharge it, and I guess that’s still what I have in my head when I see prepaid. What does it all meannnn?
Im a huge fan of counter depth and somewhat regret not getting counter depth when I last bought a fridge. You do lose some space, but also have a much lower chance of losing stuff in the back.
It’s month to month, but I have it set to autopay so it seems like it works just like a regular plan? I think it means you’re not eligible for things like upgrade credits towards a new phone every X years but tbh those are usually a bad deal anyway. Depending on the plan you also get “only” 4G/LTE and not 5G coverage.
Where I live prepaid means no contract. They can increase the price and I can walk away with no hassle. I don’t get overage fees or surprise roaming charges because I just don’t have access to services I havent paid in advance for.
Oh I realize I never specified, we’ve had the fridge for 2-3 years now. I suppose my only complaint is the ice doesn’t set hard before it drops into the bin so it chips up a lot and I need to empty the crappy flaky chunks out every month or so. Not a deal breaker lol, still one of my favorite fridges I’ve had. Love not having the water in the door. Love love love.
I’ve had verizon prepaid for… 7 years? If you don’t pay on time they can terminate your service and give away your number, but that’s not really a concern when you can autopay on a credit card.
My biggest gripe with Verizon prepaid is I don’t get visual voicemail on my Samsung phone. I have to periodically call in and clean out the spam.
I think you are also lower in the network usage priority than the postpaid customers but that hasn’t caused obvious or regular problems. I am not a concert goer.
Not sure what you mean by backup your data? My carrier would be my last choice for doing that.
You’re right of course, but I’m apparently tech challenged. We both have iphones (free from my work), and computers that are not apple and getting anything off my phone or backing it up is a days long chore that I have no idea how to do. I’ve read articles, watched videos, paid for clouds…at this point I’m kind of just waiting for my kids to be teens.
interoperability with apple products and PC products is so bloody frustrating. I was moving in the opposite direction, and gave up.
I’m looking for a new cell phone to replace my slow phone I bought in 2018. My usual strategy has been to buy as much memory as is available at the time, because of the way apps and capabilities were expanding and memory limitations were what was pushing me to new devices.
My current phone has 32 GB of storage (the max I could get in 2018) and I’m using 28 of them.
The phones (Moto G 5G) I’m looking at offer 128 and 256 GB for $180 and $250 respectively. I’m wondering if my old strategy is now outdated, and if it’s worth $70 to get max memory today. I’m not the most tech savvy so I don’t have a good sense of how much cell phone technology / apps will change in the next few years.

On the one hand, 128 and 256 GB are the options I had in Jan 2021 so almost 3 years now. I had 5 GB free when I checked but quickly deleted some stupid big apps I wasn’t using to get 15 free now. I have 30-odd GB of photos and videos, and 50GB apps (biggest users are Kindle and podcast, which are storing data).
If you are less of a pack rat, seems like 128 is still fine for now, and the rate of app-flation has slowed
On the other hand the only reason I got the 128 is I wanted the purple phone, I would spring for 256 if it’s an option so I can pack rat all my cat videos. Esp at $14/yr (so like a dollar a month) over expected phone lifetime.
So… if I’m doing the math right, it sounds like a 128 GB phone has 100GB of usable memory, so 28GB is used for the phone operating system, etc. Hmm. I’ve got 4GB of photos and 1.5GB of apps. There’s one or two I’ll add that are no longer compatible with this operating system but I really don’t want any more apps. Hmm.
I agree that app-flation has slowed and that’s a good thing!
I do think “apps” includes some system/OS apps (Google play services, etc) but it sounds like you have a lot of leeway!
I think there’s a very good chance I’m not looking in the right place for how much storage my apps are taking up, because 1.5GB seems low even to me. Like, that’s most of what it says is on my phone, even though I somehow have 28GB of stuff on my phone. It’s a mystery to me what’s in that 28GB.
I am new to wearing leggings in the winter / ie with socks as opposed to sandals.
What socks work with leggings? Mine all look weird. I usually wear running / hiking shoes.
Depends on the length, but no show/ankle usually work with sneakers. Or bold, fun crew socks OVER leggings for an 80s vibe.
If you’re trying to dress it up/be less athletic, you need boots/ankle boots, socks that don’t show, and (a long(er) top/jacket.
PS I am not a fashion footwear person and I have 3 pairs of ankle boots because they rock. Blondo brand from Canada are pricey but excellent. Looked new for 5 years, albeit CA has a short winter. Anyway you didn’t ask about boots.
I usually do blundstones, with my wool or hiking socks sticking over. I have done hiking boots. When I do my sneakers they are bright orange children’s sneakers and I don’t see how my socks will affect my outcome. I also never comment on most people’s fashion posts because I see nothing to complain about in the pictures they posted.
Yeah, I wear snow boots all winter and nobody can even see my socks.
If you’re not a heavy memory user (and it sounds like you’re really not, unless you want to start taking a million photos after you get a new phone) I would stick to the base level. Marmalade convinced me to shell out a bunch of money for more memory a while back and it was such a waste of money.
My winter socks are all taller and I just wear the leggings on top of them! The leggings are black and it’s not noticeable.
