Is lightweight important?

I don’t know but style is.

I really REALLY like the Taos Prize sandals. There are several variations and have velcro straps to adjust width. A bit pricy, but last forever. Looks very similar in style to what ElleP posted. Good luck!

Heyyyyy potentially first-time homeowner here…looking for recommendations for:

  1. Washer and dryer (will be side by side). Is Costco a decent place to get those?
  2. Electric lawnmower. These are capable of mulching leaves, right?

Thank youuuuuu

Price is great, sometimes delivery can be subcontracted to idiots but this is true of Home Depot and lowes too. We’ve done all 3 places, no strong preference.

Yes. Esp the new higher power ones. Love our electric garage items, no gas in there is amazing. Don’t do a plug in, cords suck and the new battery ones are plenty strong.

Thank you!! This is all really helpful. Do you have brand preferences/recs for lawnmowers (or any of your electric garage items)? We really are starting from scratch

Haha let me ask my husband re fire risk :smiling_face_with_tear: I know ours are kobalt and after a few files he wishes they weren’t :joy: :see_no_evil: (and as design issues, not one off manufacturing issues)

We have a Ryobi electric lawnmower and have been really happy with it. It does have a leaf mulching setting that works well. Since we have a big yard we spent the extra $100 for the self propelling model, and for us it was worth it.

This is the washing machine we have that I strongly recommend against: https://www.homedepot.com/p/LG-4-5-Cu-Ft-Stackable-SMART-Front-Load-Washer-in-White-with-Steam-and-TurboWash360-Technology-WM4000HWA/312440202?cm_mmc=ecc-_-THD_ORDER_CONFIRMATION_APPLIANCE-_-V1_M1_CB-_-Product_URL&ecc_ord=WA92616372&ecc_id=1275478f3c69df90b304748364e2572d61a30d2e705453dd8e1ad561d147c920

We have the GE front load with the self drying venting mode and it’s amazing. It’s in a hallways so it has to stay closed and it hasnt gotten musty in 3 years. In the PNW.

Strongly second the fact that delivery from basically everyone sucks.

Best Buy has been the best for us for delivery of things. Though they still managed to loose a fridge… That ended up being mostly ok actually though because we got to keep the temporary very small fridge as well as got our fridge eventually.

!!! Wow that’s amazing

He says eGo is pretty good, and then dewalt is pretty good for pretty much any tool- quality versus cost is good.

I love my Speed Queen washer and when we moved and had to leave it behind we bought another one. It’s a top-loader and bulletproof. I can’t seem to keep a front-loader from growing mold around the seal and I’ve heard that’s a common problem.

We bought a Greenworks, which seems to be highly rated. We bought it from HD, they delivered it for free, and it came with two batteries which was enough to mow a BIG yard.

Another vote for Speed Queen. I miss mine. This house has a giant Maytag agitator less top loader and it’s soooooo slow.

No specific advice, but with my current washer I need the door and detergent thingy always open and once every few eeks a sanitize or allergen wash
