Your Very Own Personal Shopper

I found them too long and they clung to my lumps in unpleasant ways  Just plugging for diff body types (I’m sz XL/16ish now)

i’m a huge fan of universal standard. they have lots of good-quality basics in nice colors, and some more showstoppy-yet-simple pieces too. very size inclusive, good quality fabrics, easy return policies. i’ve been their client for a long time.

ETA: also don’t sleep on old navy. i have tanks and sweatshirts and jeans and a linen t-shirt from there that have lasted years. sticking with natural fibers is a good move!

Recommendations for a sound machine that does water sounds that doesn’t suck? The most recent one we got, every “water” sound (ocean waves, river, rain) is just static, the two before that didn’t seem to last very long before they had issues.

In case you’re interested in an alternative, YouTube has some really long (like 10 hour!) videos of nature sounds.

Yeah, we use an old phone and the “atmosphere” app, but my kids don’t try to unlock and play with the phone at night yet

And if you find one that you like, you can rip an audio file to play instead of having youtube just running forever!

We have a Hatch Rest for our kids that has lasted 5 years and has good sounds. It’s also an ok to wake light though, so it might be more expensive than you want.

Anyone have recommendations for comfy PJ shorts (and tops too, maybe)? I’m a 2x.

I care about comfort over $.

Thanks for the suggestions! I’m looking for something cosy and soft but still won’t be hot.

This style in black is one of my favorites but it’s only XXL.

Highly recommend if that’s your size!

The waffle texture one is nice too.

So that’s what I’m hoping to replicate.

I’ve tried universal standard tanks and the underarm was weird on a bunch where the normal shirts were totally fine. I would give more stuff there a try if it wasn’t all sold out.

gotcha! have you tried the foundation stuff from US? i sleep in it every night – either a cami or a tank or the dress version. it’s incredibly soft and i haven’t noticed any underarm weirdness.

I do like the cami!

Which tank do you like?

Have you tried the night dress or just the foundation dress?

I’d really like some shorts so I can be hot and comfy without having to wear tighter skimmer shorts…gotta keep looking or maybe get on the US waitlist or equivalent and actually watch out for it.

i wear the tank dress most nights as my nightie. i have a few camis and cami dresses i got a few years ago still in rotation, but i personally like the tank dresses best for sleeping/lounging. i haven’t tried the night dresses – i really like the very soft/very mild compression of the foundation fabric as it keeps my boobs in the same zip code unlike a looser nightie would.

underneath i wear tomboyx boxer briefs, my normal everyday underwear. they are all comfy, but the modal ones are super duper comfy.

ETA: looks like the meko nightie and some colors of foundation tanks/dresses are on sale!

That sounds great! I’ll give the tank dress a try. That’s why I like that gap shirt too.

I might just try something like this at Old Navy and then jump on the US shorts next season.

Violin Friend bought me the produce keepers from Costco that were recommended by @mountainmustache29 and I love them so much I asked him to get me a second set! They’re just so well made and functional. I love that you can use the container as a colander and that everything stacks really nicely and you can see the contents of everything inside. We used to have greens lingering and getting soggy at the ends of plastic bags but no longer!

I actually removed two drawers from the fridge so that I could use these containers in the space instead. I’m so pleased

Yes we’ve been heavily using them too! I love that the bottom comes off so I can use it as a makeshift colander and rinse the berries right in it. We have two sets and use HEAVILY in this fruit heavy kid household. Big fan and grateful for the recc a bit ago!

Aaaaand I just ordered a set even though we have no more room to store containers. Well, if it makes it easier for me to buy bunches of lettuce instead of clamshells, it will be well worth it.

You may find yourself rehoming some of your existing containers!
