I refuse to accept this. How many years of leggings do I need to stock up on before they come back again? 5? 3?

Halp! OK. I need a bed frame. A very simple but sturdy full-sized frame. Under $500. I have very little clearance on the sides of my bed, so the frame needs to be close to the width of the mattress. I can’t handle sharp edges or metal legs since I 100% will destroy my shins.

I like the style of these, but the reviews aren’t great for the CB2 frame, and the Wayfair frame has no center support legs, so I’m dubious.

Also, if anyone can recommend a good mattress topper, I’m all ears. Eyes? I got a firm mattress and want something softer on top since I sleep on my side.

This is what you slept on at my house.

I have this and I’m pretty happy with it. It’s a nice upgrade from the basic metal platform bed, but still really affordable

We have this mattress topper. It works well and I am also a side sleeper.

I just got this one due to a Wirecutter recommendation and really like it. You can stain or paint, it’s raw wood. I think it’s ok named myself.

We have two of these and like them- Zinus Justina Quick Snap Standing Mattress Foundation / Platform Bed / No Box Spring Needed / Grey, Queen Amazon.com

Thanks everyone! The nomad bed looks like the winner for the frame. I’m willing to wait a little longer on the mattress topper, but maybe I should go with pbks and prevent over analyzing the decision and never actually buying anything.

Of note if you’re a toe smasher is that the legs on the one I linked are inset (and rounded, obviously). It’s a miracle for my disaster prone self.

Ugh yes inset legs would be very helpful. How noticeable is the vertical stitching? I would go for the blue, but I don’t love how the white thread looks in the photos.

Uhhhh I don’t notice it at all? I’ll send pics once I get the Small Human down for bed

not the wood you seem to favor, but good for not smashing your toes. We have two of these. I got one for the guest bedroom and then liked it enough to get one for Son. Super easy to put together. And we had these toppers on all of our mattresses before we bought new mattresses. They are very nice. Amazon.com

Ha that’s the same brand as what I linked!

It’s definitely there but there’s no sheen or anything that makes it catch your eye.

But LOOK at all the toe safety.

I do not have small hands.

Haha, woops! And we both have two of them! I have the light grey with the brown-wood legs, too. I never noticed the stitching.

Thanks bj! And hey double recommendations is only helping that bed frame.

I do have a lot of blue paint… If I really wanted to put time into it, I could use up my embroidery supplies and stitch over the white with the rainbow.

We bump our knees and toes all the time, this looks so good.

This is the one we’ve been using since 2005 and it’s still holding up well:

OR you could go to Cotton Cloud Beds which is right in your neighborhood and they’ve got ones to check out too (I think including the one I linked)! It’s also a good place to look at wool mattress toppers (which we also purchased there, expensive but can last a lifetime). I have a 20% off coupon they sent me after we bought our new mattress there and I just forwarded it to you!
