Bubble baths are less popular because of a round of little kids getting uti s… probably kids your age. They were used with caution for my age group. I’ve never had a problem but I tend more to salts these days. I’ve used the rafox before, and liked it. A selection at prices that won’t make you throw up, and also the suggestion that many Metro’s carry nice and affordable european bath products, including the ombra
@TrisPrior I like lemon balm in tea and cookies, and anywhere lemongrass is good. This list has a lots of ideas that work with other sweet herbs. I know chefs doing 100 mile challenges have gone back to herbs instead of vanilla and some of the spices, and I can imagine things like chocolate thyme being really useful.
The Dairy Fairy bra was lacey and pretty, but the back of the shoulder straps went into a hook that was too big so they would randomly unclip in the middle of the day. This was very, very aggravating. I eventually hand-sewed the straps in but am still aggrieved that a $50 bra has this design/production flaw.
The Ollie Grey bra sounded perfect on paper, but when it came it seemed very different than the product photos on the website and I couldn’t find how it would support pump flanges. This was final sale so I wonder if there was a flaw in production that they obscured via a sale. Smells shady, if that’s the case.
The Motherfigure Multitasking Maternity Bra ($44) is the jackpot! I found it via an IG ad when I had stopped looking. Light and silky material, reasonable shape under a t-shirt. It’s a clipless design with fabric that you just pull over or under in various configurations. It is also 1000x easier than other designs to get the pump flanges set up. Sadly, it is only arriving in the tail end of my pumping days though it’s also sleek and comfy enough that I will keep wearing it post-nursing.
Hi, shoppers! I bought a Bose dishwasher on your + Wirecutters’s advice, and it’s coming next week. YAY.
We had someone check out our leaky washing machine, and he would charge us $360 to repair the leaky door (he was saying that the cost of GE parts would be $250, so that was what made it so $$$), and that there may be other issues with it. It’s a 12-year-old machine. I’m thinking we should take the L and get a new one, what do you all think? I admire handiness in others but unfortunately there are so many things going on right now that we don’t have time to mess with it ourselves to try to save a little money.
I still like Murphy’s Oil Soap, but I’ve used Boniva and some kinda Method Brand stuff I impulse bought at Target at one point. I think it’s cleverly name Hardwood Floor Cleaner, but it has a really nice almond scent.
I use a microfiber mop (knock off swiffer reusable) and water. If I a spot is nasty, I spray Trader Joe’s all purpose cleaner, then mop twice to make sure it’s clean.
The microfiber mop while dry works amazingly for sweeping. Best $13 ever.
I don’t wash my wood floors often enough to worry about buildup. I vacuum. I clean up messes. Quarterly, I hand wash them. LOL
New house has all hardwood on the main floor, and we have a robot mop (not my idea) but once I’m there full time I will be washing the kitchen and bathroom floors weekly…
Good merino wool full zip jackets? My moms list of requirements is lengthy, and so far Icebreaker seems like the best bet, but I wanted to check with this thread and make sure I’m not missing a really nice brand.
Oh one important requirement is that it be machine washable
ironically, I passed my nice icebreaker wool jacket on to my mom! Full zip, super warm, pockets! I don’t remember if I ever washed it. The cut was a bit odd or something, so I didn’t care for how it fit, but it didn’t seem to bother my mom.
