I do think Fiskars make great kids scissors. I bought a multipack of them at one point, and my girls took them to college with them, no lie.

It’s easier to practice cutting on a strip of paper than a whole sheet.

Oh and if you need them for at home use GET TWO. Hide the spares up high where you’ll be able to find them later. Because one of them will end up inside a cardboard box stuffed behind a bunch of other cardboard boxes which are all under his bed because at one point he was going through a “maker” phase but now it just looks like Hoarders: Cardboard Edition and you won’t see those scissors for months.

Or so I’ve heard.

Thank you all!

I’m sure we are going to go on a long road with the scissors. We haven’t had much luck with some of the recommended “simpler” toys to build some of those skills and my kiddo still barely has the strength to make crayon marks so I’m pretty prepared for it to be a long road. I wish we could just show up for an in person eval and have them have the supplies there!

Guys. Does it matter if I get my kid a plastic or a wooden kitchen? Who literally cares, right? If it’s new it’s bad for the environment either way?

I’d do used plastic new or used wood. But I’m a snob. Your kid will like the opposite of the one you choose

I found two wooden ones locally for $80! WOOOOOO. They look perfectly fine and he will not care. As you said, he’s probably gonna ignore it for like 6 months until his bday when I’ll get him something new to ignore.

I had one of those!

Yes I’ve been eyeing them for replacement stuff. And if they ever get a griddle that spans two burners I won’t be able to part with my money fast enough.

I would love a better quality version of this earring. The plating is coming off on these, so even though I love them they’re starting to irritate my ears and look a lil funky. Ideally i would find a solid gold but still CZ one, and ideally not through amazon. Willing to spend up to like $200 for the right ones if needed- I tend to have one pair of earrings I wear forever lol. My second piercing studs I got for my 16th birthday and still wear daily, lol, so something with staying power is the ideal!

These are 6mm size. Yellow gold. Round bezel around the “diamond”.

I love my comfy earrings

I have some fake pearl ones and the painted on pearl effect hasn’t held up great but a CZ one would work great. That’s probably what I’ll replace this with eventually. Super comfortable for another person with sensitive skin and a tendency to wear earrings constantly.

That is PERFECT. Thank you! And the sensitive skin experience is a huge help. I’m alll about the contact dermatitis over here :expressionless:

You’re welcome! I’m so pleased with mine. They’re so comfortable and I rarely take them off. Just a note in case this is an issue with your toddler, the back screws on so if she’s tearing at your studs you might wait to get these. That said, they’ve never been even remotely an issue with my toddler.

That’s a good note. I’m super paranoid about her getting near my ears though, so she’s never had a chance thus far- shown mild interest but pretty easily redirected.

I don’t see your style as a stock style here but Automic Gold is on my fave jewelry list for my next purchase. Partly because Al (the founder) has a hella cute dachshund

Has anyone bought a dishwasher lately? Guess who has two thumbs and a dishwasher that leaked the very first time she ran it.

The dishwasher is approximately a thousand years old and is VERY gross inside, so this seems like a replace not repair situation.

Hahahha… and apparently we’ll need washing machine recs too, since that bad boy is leaking as well.

If you don’t wanna replace the machines, a lot of times people won’t replace the water tubing and that’s supposed to be replaced fairly often. They can split and leak there and where they insert into the machine. Those are pretty cheap and fairly easy to replace if you want to go that route first.
