day 12 complete. I did better than I would have if that had been day 1. Crow and needle are not my strong suits, but I did well with the pretzel balance thing, though I think I wasn’t quite doing what she planned, I was happy with the balances I did.
Went with a kids yoga with animals one today for the whole family. Delighted and surprised to find it was four minutes and four poses. We are one step closer to mata samadhi
Oh shit I forgot about this
Day 17 - I snuggled.
I also did day 12! I used to love eagle pose, but I’m significantly less bendy than I used to be so it’s a lot harder now
Also it always makes me think of Two Weeks Notice, and Sandra Bullock saying she’s a sexy bobcat pretzel, which makes it even more difficult because I’m laughing.
Day 13 done! That had some fun challenges for sure. I did an OK half-moon with the aid of a block, although not for very long!
@Elle, one of my library programs is family yoga (I don’t teach it of course, I am just the host). For grownups with babies through preschool, in practice mostly toddlers. Haven’t done it in 2 years but we have it scheduled for March, so fingers crossed our case load is low enough.
Day 18 done!
I snuck in 20 min at midnight.
Snuggle day done
Finished today! Felt like two rather easy day in a row. Considering my life this week, I appreciate that!
Day 13 done. I pre-iced my knee, but it still wasn’t happy with several pieces. However, it is probably strengthening, which is the point. And it certainly has more range of mobility than it did a month ago.
So, um, wow. I skipped again yesterday because I was up till like 2am working as it was , but needed the stress relief and stretches today so I went into Day 16. It should not have been a good day what with like 10 hrs of sleep over 2 nights and work work work. But it was! The side planks felt strong! The folds felt deep! The heels were skimming the ground! I like dancer pose but it was extra good today, I even gripped inside my foot (balance was a little wobblier than other days, not surprised).
Anyway, not sure if it’s 16 days of relative consistency (more than last time) or the rest days or what but nice! Then I did Day 17 cause it was snuggle and I was on a roll.
BTW This was recommended and some might find it funny. CW politics and satire.
Day 18 done! Those prezel-y twists really got me today.
OMG I was laughing so much. The very last thing she said rubbed me the wrong way, but I was 100% loving it up to that point!
Day 19 is done! I really enjoy doing planks and chaturanga - they make me feel strong and powerful.
Day 19 done for me, too. This was a good one for me.
I did day 14 this morning!
I struggle with low lunges and find it super awkward to get out of a low lunge back to downward facing dog or plank. It’s like my knee gets caught in my armpit or something. Does anyone have this problem? I wonder if it is because of my tyrannosaur arms.
I can’t pull my left leg forward into a lunge from down dog/plank, even though I can on my right. I don’t understand the mechanics either.
I can’t get into a low lunge from plank or downdog, because of my tyrranosaur arms, but for some reason it works ok the other way. But it makes sense that you’d have trouble with that.
Ok, I have trouble even being in a low lunge, so my hands aren’t flat on the mat when I do them. Maybe try going onto your fingertips to give you more space before you bring your leg back?
I have to bring my hands both inside of my foot before I go back.
