Yoga With Adrienne - 30 Day Journey

There has only been one of those so far (that I’ve noticed) and I think it was accidental. That’s not her usual style.

Finished early today!

It totally happened during a past year’s challenge. Maybe 2020? I can’t remember.

That’s helpful to know, thanks!

Me, too!

Same. That may have been the longest eagle pose I’ve ever done. I moved from triple-mat to floor for the second one, and that helped with both balancing and ankle stress.

Overall, I really liked today.

Definitely cut up the portion. For me it’s been due to time constraint rather than being too full, but when exercising early AM I eat e.g. a banana prior to working out and then my ‘real’ breakfast afterwards.

I finished today’s workout! I’m so grateful to all of you who are doing this too.

I’m a day behind. When she was on her hip I was like “wut, ow” and it wasn’t till like five minutes later that I remembered pillows are a thing.

I’m also a day behind. Mobility was fine. But I don’t wanna double up because id rather read a book. Do Less!

In my country we call that 2nd breakfast “morning tea”.

Also you aren’t weird, needing to eat something before getting out of bed is really common for people when they’re pregnant!

I’m thinking about starting, y’all seem to be enjoying this in general. I may start in Feb…

Ok, I didn’t do Adrienne, but I did 10 minutes of stretching. Some of which I remember from her videos.

My main problem with yoga videos is boredom. I get through other exercise by either talking to people or listening to podcasts. I can’t do that here. So maybe I write down a routine and then I can do it with a podcast on.

Did yoga right before bed yesterday and today! Up through day 10!

I did my day six last night! And I chose a more strenuous 10 min video that gave my body what I needed vs the easier 10 min that would get it over and done with. The night before I went off video but still did it.

Day 13 done. My ankles didn’t hurt so much today balancing, so that is progress!

Day 8, Rest, is complete! I did not rest with perfect success as it was hard to turn off the to-do list, but I tried.

Day 13 done! It was short. And fun.

I wasn’t graceful and I didn’t always understand what I was meant to do, but I finished today’s workout.

I fell behind, but day 12 is done! Was a very good variety of some stretch/mobility, some strength but not too much and some rest/breathing. Would recommend.

Will try to catch up by doing day 13 later today.

Gyms reopened here starting today so I’ll resume my regular workout scheme hopefully this week, which will make it harder to keep up with Adriene but I wanna try because I really feel the gentle practices will help me with my lack of flexibility without doing intense stretching sessions all the time.

Day 9 is done! I missed days at the beginning and might have to miss more. The cuckoo egg has a lot of say about what my body does and does not do right now. (And let me tell you, I REALLY miss riding my bike, plus because we have only one car, not being able to bike to work is wreaking havoc.)

Anyway, I’ve managed to do several days in a row now and it feels GREAT and I’m happy that this challenge is here when I am barred from my usual exercise (biking, Jazzercise). I work Saturdays and I have actually NEVER exercised before work on a Saturday before, so I am proud of myself! Usually I sleep later instead, since my husband’s alarm doesn’t go off.

The other obstacle is that my usual space is unavailable as the Boy has an Ikea project going in it. So I had to do yoga in the living during the children’s “screen time.” I set the expectation in advance and it went just fine.

Day 9 is the one where Adriene falls down doing tree pose. LOVE IT.
