I read the blurb again. I am totally convinced that he’s being sued for something that happened on the forum (maybe someone got scammed??) and he’s not allowed to talk about it.

There is a thread on MMM where one of the moderators was not aware of what was going on. So…just a bug?

Given some of the stuff I’ve flagged I’d say there are several MMM threads where mods aren’t aware of what’s going on (which I think is pretty typical for a forum of that size). But maybe worth a quick check of terms and conditions here? I don’t have the first idea what you’d really need to look for there, though.

I don’t think there was an email. It was a messy morning and what I can oiece together from reading stuff here and there is that by the time I logged in to check the drama, as a signed in member it gave a HUGE new terms and conditions I had to agree to, as well as identifying that new members would need to pay $5.

Some of the things in T&C included agreeing to certain kinds of tracking - @anomalily this is an area to check as European tracking and consent laws are more robust. They also may have changed since initial registration.

It also looks like they may be blocking problem users without temporary bans.

I could be missing lots because I only go in when alerted to hot gossip or sad news or for specific questions.

According to a MMM moderator, the terms and conditions didn’t actually change-- the ones we saw yesterday were not actually new ones.
