Ah okay. Does it need to be for Canada specifically?
I think anywhere will work.
This doesn’t speak to grandparent immunization at all, but looks at the uneven burden of influenza in the sub 5 yo population. In particular the background section has some good stats on sub 1yo. Then the “ Transmission and infectiousness” section strikes me as useful. Anyway, it’s a start, has some good flu season number links.
I got my flu shot last week, and they brought someone in at work today and I held my co-workers’ hand! I feel like my arm was more sore this year, but it didn’t last more than the day.
I got mine last week in the UK. £6.99 in Superdrug as I don’t qualify for a free one which are given to e.g. older, pregnant, asthmatic, high BMI people. I had to make an appointment in the end as my local chemist was always out of the shots.
Flu shot achieved! I didn’t get a bandaid, which I am choosing to believe is because I am too tough to bleed.
Hell yes. \o/
Woooot!
Follow up, I’m going today to spend the $5 Target voucher I got for getting my flu shot before it expires on Saturday.
Discovered I’ll get $25 in wellness benefits from work for having flu shot!
Is the gauze or cotton ball a Canadian thing? @Elle
We seem to get deliveries of the vaccine later up in Canada. It’s only been available here since about last week.
I got a sticker for getting my flu shot.
Mind exploded. It must be our socialized health care. I always get it for blood draws or needles. Also was your pharmacist a ridiculously attractive man? Now that I’m thinking about the experience again I’m remembering that part too
Um, the sticker is not important, how do I make sure I get THAT next year when I get my flu shot?! #robbed
Forgot to post a week ago that I got mine! Free at CVS - boring and easy process!
I forgot I’d sent an email to a Very Important Person in my organization asking if he got his flu shot (he used to send flu reminders when he was Fancy Title and didn’t this year as he’s now Fanciest Title).
He replied to me today. He did!
My manager was a bit horrified at me but I’m still employed so YAY
I got it done, finally! Made a special trip to the office for their flu clinic. Shoulder has been sore all night - not super bad but more annoying achy. Took the bandage off earlier and tossed it. Forgot you guys wanted to see it.
Mild cold symptoms are usually ok. If you have a serious illness with fever than prob wait.
Done!
But no band aid…
