Two years ago (August, 2020) I wrote a blog about using ground beef the most frugally. It was $6.49/lb from our co-op. A pound of meat from the same co-op last November, that’s sitting thawed in my fridge to use tonight is $6.99/lb.

I just went to Costco for the first time in 6 weeks, and prices have gone up again in that time period. The grass-fed beef burgers I buy were up to $22.99 previously, and today were $23.99. The chicken pieces were $15.99 and are now $18.99! The organic heavy cream was $12.99…I remember just a few years back when it was $5.99. I feel like almost everything I bought was at least $1 higher, if not more. Only a few things were unchanged. I wonder if they will eventually raise the price of the rotisserie chickens!
