I got a mitten to put on my tail!
(We’re working on differentiating between penis and tail. Poor Percy was used as an example before we found out that the more expensive plastic animals have both)

“Why daddy set boundaries? Why you do that?”
No mystery there, just an alarming thing to be asked by a 2 year old
“I demand that I talk to all the scuba divers!”
Heard on the baby monitor after bedtime: " I need a…knife. I need a knife!"
(Grandma was helping her cut peaches with a butter knife earlier which was quite exciting)
“That’s why toes grew up”
???
He says this a lot. I cannot find any consistency in context.
He’s started saying it again. He’s playing Minecraft and saying “that’s why toe grew up.” It still doesn’t make any sense.
Lol. Could “why” be “where”? Could grew be ‘blew’?
There why those blew up? That’s where ___ grew up?
Good thought. My kid loves blowing stuff up in Minecraft.
Some thing to do with potatoes?
Intriguing possibility. I’ll ask next time I hear him say it!
my friends kid who plays minecraft talks about potatoes a lot
Bilingual kid working on his phonics and climbing my dresser (dil means heart)
Dddd D is for heart. I put my dil in my chest and grew (the grinch)
Apparently “hoo hoo hoo no yes” is a very dark shade of blue.
It’s a yellow zebra!! (Giraffe)
It’s a orange zebra!! (Tiger)
And when asked what she called a penguin stuffed animal: “I call it owl” (true)
Both of my girls mix up zebra and giraffe. It’s so cute. I correct them every time but it still happens.
After seeing fireworks in Disney “I hope the fires don’t work themselves again”
You ate a bad bum biscuit!
A broken piece of animal cracker, but now everyone in the neighbourhood may assume that my toddler witnessed me eating ass
I didn’t have difficulty interpreting the words but the meaning?
“What I want to do this day? I know! I want make fire at the playground”
We didn’t go to the playground. We did do some painting. Apparently this is the playground fire. I guess it is what it sounds like
“Is kipe-ruh-dee a country?”
He’s learning about the states and countries. This one sounds like Kuiper (he still loves the solar system too) so for a while we thought he was just making up an additional country. (Much like he made up a second moon, In Comparison.)
Turns out he was going for Cape Verde.
