thank you. Husbands family definitely had a tendency to say weâre ânot funâ and âhave a stick up our assâ etc because we donât like offensive humor and people mean teasing each other. I think I definitely internalize that. 
Around my fellow nerds I feel like a well adjusted, normally social person. Then I meet Normal People ⢠and Iâm mystified that they donât want to have a casual conversation about the relative efficiency of furnaces and heat pumps? Or convergent evolution? Geopolitics and supply chain economics? The symbolism of Data in Star Trek TNG? Particle physics? Infant brain development research?

Omg all of these have been discussed in my home within the last week 
my 2.5 year old literally repeated âevolutionâ and âmetamorphosisâ this week and itâs ADORABLE. But uh. Perhaps not normal.
