Listening to this book and enjoying it! I am not tranquil YET but let’s see what the future holds.
So far I’ve given myself a bedtime, which I love as an early to bed person. My Fridays at work are usually chaotic in an unpredictable way, so I may adapt the rule to be planning on Thursdays.
It also got me thinking more about how I I spend my time, and I came up with a rule for myself of no more than 3 social plans in a weekend.
This is so smart! Setting a limit like that helps protect time that is “free” on the calendar but is actually important rest and decompress time. I am a fan!~!
Y’all! In Laura’s newsletter she said that she was interested in hearing from, amother groups, people who do not have flexible jobs. I do not have a flexible job so I responded and sent my time tracking log! And she wrote back! Twice, once to ask a couple of questions and then to give advice. It was useful advice and she was so gracious.
I had my chat with Laura and I know y’all will not be surprised that she is warm and lovely! She was impressed that I have been getting long craft sessions done during nap and with my conscious values work. She said she is putting together time makeovers for her next book and my experience might be part of it!
Important update: Laura V just sent me the writeup of my time tracking challenge for her next book. When she checked in with me she was so pleased that I am still doing craft hour even though the cuckoo no longer naps reliably (I’m enforcing “rest time.”)
