Two tiny but related victories:

Last week I was hanging out with my dogwalking client in a dog park, and another gal with an Australian Shepherd pup and Sheltie came in as well. The dogs were having a great time romping; I mentioned that I’m there at about the same time every weekday, and she came back the next day! I didn’t scare someone off with my social awkwardness!

Today I feel like I am moving through molasses but I still took care of my friend’s kid so she could work, drove to a distant suburb to buy a pew for my renovation, went to a medical supply store to try out and buy a $$$thumb brace$$$ (it seems to give me a rash so I’m probably returning it. Very sad, as it is very helpful and supportive) then served a friend lunch and helped him figure out learning strategies because he is struggling in school. Now I can nap. Later I will get groceries and take out.
I am making it through a day like a real boy! Even though I feel broken!

Tenants let me know that one element on the stove was not heating. I know nothing about appliance repair, but I own a voltage tester and a screwdriver and a brain capable of deductive reasoning, so I headed over.
I tried switching around the fuses, but they all worked so that wasn’t it.
I lifted the glass cooktop and found wires that had had some sort of temper tantrum and were no longer speaking, so I cleaned them and reconnected them.
The stove works!
I feel like the queen of the world and have earned this delicious chow mein.

Almost-forgotten craft fair was today…I know some of the attendees were complaining about attendence, but I more than doubled the booth fee (not all that hard to do since it wasn’t very high, but for me this is people paying to take things that I’ve officially made too damn many of anyway so my standards aren’t all that high either) so I was happy. Plus one of the people there has a gallery and wanted to see if I was interested in consigning for the holiday season. I need to do some research, but that’s an avenue I hadn’t really thought about before since what I make is very seasonal when it comes to selling even if the actual craft isn’t.

I had an awesome dream where I was on an Alaska cruise with Elizabeth Warren and we talked nonstop about policy stuff. At the end she got totally absorbed with watching wildlife and her tanktop strap fell down and her bare breast was exposed. I pointed it out and she was like “I’m 65.* Nobody gives a shit” and left the boob hanging out and went back to admiring whales.
*Apparently she is 70. My dream brain thinks she is younger.
