I was worried about little dude wearing a dress to middle school. Because, you know, middle school. But it was no problem at all. Apparently most of the kids already think he’s a girl so no one was fazed when he showed up in costume.
None of the kids knew who Wednesday Addams is, and all the teachers did. Which sounds about right.
Also when I was at the gym my friend texted me so I ditched and ate pho instead. Pho with friends is the best.

Trick or treating in my neighbourhood wasn’t possible for safety and practical reasons, so I took the kids and the respite worker to a nicer area. Coincidentally, the area where the Airbnb I manage is, and the Airbnb happens to be vacant this evening.
I napped for a couple of hours while the respite worker took the kids around and got a huge haul of candy. They texted me when their bags were too heavy and we got home in time for a reasonable bedtime.
Wins all around.

I thought yesterday’s painting efforts hadn’t yielded any muscle aches, but turns out they’ve yielded that really satisfying ache that tells you you’ve pushed yourself just far enough.

My taxes dropped by $100 per paycheck. The reasons are unknown, and we’ll see if it sticks. But hey, $100 more for doin stuff.

This morning I went out and go so many things done! And had coffee with my friend! And did more things!
Now I am home in bed with excellent animals. I will nap, and later we will have tacos for dinner. I’m going to experiment - if I slice beyond meat burgers up thin like gyro meat and fry them a little, will they be good in tacos? Maybe! Let’s find out!

Turns out my grandma owns the exact rug scrubber we were going to rent to clean our carpets, so this girl is hauling it home so that we can do that. All I’ll have to buy is the cleaning solution. Winning, winning all around.

Beyond meat + taco seasoning in a frying pan with oil fried up nicely. It was easy to coarsely chop with the spatula. It made for chunks of fake meat, not ground beef style. It was tasty and had a good mouth feel.
I would reduce the salt in the taco seasoning mix. The fake meat was already plenty salty.
Overall, a win.
