Tiny Victories

We bought a spice packet and followed the directions.

I may have to try this.

(My Indian cooking is semi-authentic, when I can be bothered, because an ex’s mum took the time to teach me family recipes. She was cool. Mostly I can’t be bothered, though.)

Tiny victory: it’s warm enough to need the fan on, which is good because the fan and white noise app on my phone combined just block out the party noise from down the street.

Most of mine is authentic too. But there are also packets in the Indian aisle that are too salty but taste good.

Doing things the easy way instead of the best way is a new thing in trying. In this case it was a success.

Victory: after a bad night and a ton of health crap I had two hours of real sleep. That shit is magic.

My husband and a friend are adding insulation to the attic. My job is to hang out with the cats so they don’t get scared. I’m very good at hanging out with the cats.

I made it to Tai Chi again yesterday. I’d missed it last term!

Paid off the Amazon card and will be using my debit card for online shopping from now on. It’s great to see that $0 balance.

Next up, the Chase card, which I hope to have paid off by the end of the year.

I’ve almost used up my stinky dishwashing soap - so today I bought some that I hope I will like better!

I finished my Halloween costume just in time for the Halloween party!

I made All Dressed chips happen. Them being “Canadian inspired” worries me a bit, but they were $13 less than getting Old Dutch, so I’m gonna give it a try!

…desperate measures for pregnancy cravings, check.

Do you have Cost Plus (World Market)? I want to say that I think they carry All Dressed sometimes (ETA: real All Dressed, Old Dutch)… unless I have seen them somewhere else. I’ve definitely seen “real” ones down here somewhere. I love All Dressed. MUCH better than ketchup chips.

(If you do, for next time you have All Dressed cravings.)

Canadian inspired has to be better than if they were inspired by a country without all dressed chips, right?

:joy:

We do, but not anywhere close to me. I’ve also never seen ketchup chips here.

@Elle that is fair. I’ll find out tomorrow!

It’s probably for the best. Ketchup chips are weird

Is that in fully dressed Canadian dollars or did you (I hope) get more than one bag? I will send Old Dutch chips to you by carrier pigeon if they cost $13+ per bag where you are.

That’s why I DIDNT order the old Dutch. I got the $3 Whole Foods brand instead lol. But yes the old Dutch would have been crazy expensive (for chips).

Whoa that’s insanity! Hm now I wonder how much it would cost me to get Tim’s Cascade Dill Pickle chips to me and if it’s an equal highjacking…
