I got a chimney cleaning scheduled!
Who’s gonna use their wooden stove this winter without a chimney fire?
THIS GUY.
My boss moved our weekly meeting to an office on a college campus instead of a restaurant/bar. Now I won’t spend money to work!
I hosted a swap thing yesterday. Not only did I get a ton of stuff I’ll use for free, I’ve heard from multiple people how much fun they had, and saw people exchange phone numbers- so hopefully I planted some good friendship seeds, too!
Old couple on the street told me that Ewok looks exactly like me, while laughing because it is so funny to see identical mum+toddler duo. It was nice
I tried a sample of cauliflower crust pizza at the gym and it was good! Couldn’t even tell! I accused the sample-givers of lying!!
And then I took a bite, now I’m a believer…
That’s ridiculously cute.
He is definitely your mini!
I bought myself flowers. I also get to see my longest running client this week (and next), who is 12 now!! I love him SO MUCH.
Sent an outstanding invoice email to a new client who needs to pay her invoice with minimal hand wringing on my part. Remembering that it’s business, not personal is my tiny victory.
Good job!! That stuff is SO hard.
I can’t wait until I get it together enough to have accounting software that not only collects payments but sends automated reminders/late notices.
I use square appointments which sends automatic reminders but I still get an email when the reminder is sent and I still get a knot in my stomach every time

My friend got a letter in the mail saying that she had officially paid off one of her student loans. To celebrate we went out for brunch and then visited a huge, gorgeous tree by the river.

Daisy was asleep and dreaming, wagging her tail in her sleep. This got the kitten’s attention. The kitten got all geared up to pounce, with his butt in the air and laser focus. Sprocket saw this and intervened, chasing the kitten off so Daisy could keep sleeping.
All of it was very funny.
I bought this organizer for my travel stuff and I am just so excited about it! Now I want to take a trip.
Road trip to Portland!
Definitely! Kid-3 moved up there in July and I haven’t visited yet. MUST GO SOON!
I really wanted to be able to make and freeze cranberry stewed apples before the baby arrival. I was worried cranberries wouldn’t show up at stores in time though, and I’ve already used all the bags I put in my freezer last fall. Well I went to the store a couple days ago, and they had them in!!! so, batch number one made today. Delicious. If Costco gets their massive bags of Bandon, OR cranberries I’ll make another mega batch. So tasty.
So my victories are both yay cranberries showing up, and that I got more batch cooking done.
I have frozen organic chicken thighs that I may never get around to making. Want them?
Oh heck yes! Thank you! I’ve got shredded chicken on my prep list, and we prefer thighs.
Do you have a recipe for your cranberry stewed apples?
