Tiny Victories

A day of victories.

Lil Pup got out of her crate while I was gone. Not sure how long she was out, but I was gone 2 hours. We’ve never left her out before. She was closed in to the bedroom/bathroom/closet suite area.

I can’t find a SINGLE thing wrong. She must have just chewed on her chewie and napped. :woman_shrugging: What a good dog.

I’m trying out these compression sock things that only cover my ankles and heels, and they feel really good. Less nerve pain and more support. They were stupidly cheap, too!

Add lemon and honey. Trust me.

I am eating solid food! It is delicious. Now to watch tv and read trashy books and think about doing some study.

Also small doses of whiskey or brandy. You know, for medicinal purposes. Also some ginger - you can just shake in a little powdered ginger before you add the water if you don’t mind being a heathen like me.

And to treat the cause rather than symptoms, elderberry if you have any (either flower or berry). I keep dried berries just for virus treatment.

I just ate 3 sweet, fully ripe mulberries! The toddler being sick has been great for giving them time to turn black.

My tiny victory:

After months of having to rely almost exclusively on them, I haven’t used a credit card in almost two weeks! I also finally switched all my recurring bills from credit cards to my checking account. Now to focus on paying down this awful debt, and only using the cards sparingly for stuff like gas or something that I can immediately transfer the money to to pay off.

It’s hard to break that habit. But one step at a time and you can do it.

My cat was playing with my water glass and pushed it part way off the table. I caught it as it was starting to fall, and it didn’t spill.

I worked so hard today, guys. so hard. My cold is mostly gone so I powered through and did all the things. Including finding potentially amazing tenants.

Now it’s 1.30 and I am covered in sawdust and stink and hurt so I stopped at my favourite thai place for green curry soup and thai iced coffee. Delicious. And I will sleep so hard when I get home. Also shower.

I got my car emission/safety tested today and renewed my registration. These are things I procrastinate until the very last second. (Ok, I procrastinate a lot of things until the very last second.)

Tony Victor Plus: I am pleased with my new dental office. They took a lot of time with me to explain things and check everything out, and I even got a local anesthetic for the cleaning.

My mom gave us two massive leeks and my coworker gave me three tennis balls (which I will use to stretch/exercise my feet).

Also my painful tongue thing went away.

I’m 1/4 of the way through washing a load of laundry. One of my yesterday goals. I already know I won’t get all the way to clean sheets (also à yesterday goal. But this is something

My sister aka personal shopper found me a bra in my size, a high-end brand, for $15.20 including her friend’s employee discount.

My bigger kid has been sick for a week and so has barely been eating. Today his appetite came back with a vengeance and my little dude wasn’t around so I took bigger kid to the cheap all you can eat sushi place. As we were sitting down I got called to deal with an emergency at the Airbnb so my kid sat there for an hour with his book, eating plate after plate after plate after plate of sushi. When I eventually got back he was very pleased with himself, the little glutton.

So the all you can eat place was my babysitter, I guess.
