Oooh I have a thrifting win too - I was just thinking I wanted a silk rayon velvet tank top (I’m abandoning polyester) and I was prepping a top for sale and realized it WAS a silk rayon blend and I put it into my “MINE” pile so fast.
That’s awesome! I’m trying to be a little more flexible and keep a few nice things for myself, it’s hard to not think “I could make xx amount from this!” but also I think we deserve nice things occasionally too!
My MIL has a subscription to Cooks Illustrated so I have a subscription to Cooks Illustrated a few months behind
I actually prefer paying for a subscription when it’s something I can share. Feels more worthwhile! I splurge on a School Library Journal subscription that I send to a colleague in inter office mail.

The stars finally aligned and I was free to attend a practical archaeology field day yesterday and even better had a friend who also wanted to do it.
We spent the day scraping down the layers of a 1 meter trench in a rather boggy field and I managed to find a piece of eighteenth century glass from the neck of a bottle, which was the only notable find of the day 
The land belongs to the National Trust for Scotland who hosted the day and the dig is the final year of a three year project on the site of the infamous Glencoe Massacre of 1692. The weather was cool and misty which just added to the atmosphere of the site.
(The mainly white sailing jacket was a bit of a mistake but most of the mud seems to have come off after a gentle machine wash!)

I’d never heard that term as I think it’s mainly used in the US. So I’ve now had fun reading a little bit about US archaeology and CRM (which turned out to be cultural resource management!)

I found a way to make our bone broth with wayyyy less dishes.
TC Why the heck didn’t I do this before?
Old process: Instant pot to cook, pour into our pasta pot with a built in strainer, fine mesh sieve with a funnel into jars. So many dishes because the pasta pot is huge.
New process: using our spider scoop (like for frying) to scoop the bones and veggies out of the IP, pouring directly into the fine mesh sieve with a funnel into jars.
OK but how cool that you are always finding ways to improve! That takes experimentation and a keen eye!
I am really on a bougie sweatpants kick. I found myself a pair of Everlane organic cotton jogger sweatpants yesterday for $4! I feel so rich in sweats 
if it ever gets cold again I am so set!
I did it! I hung the curtain! The real test is that it has stayed up over a week, since my workmanship was not so great. It stayed up! Yay!
Today at my HIIT class there was a lot of panic/ kerfuffle regarding a spider. Not wanting anyone to squish him I charged over there, scooped him up and put him outside.
There’s a former marine in the class whose vibes I do not like and I just know he’s pissed he didn’t get to “save everyone” by killing it.
He was actually a very cute spider (kinda fuzzy). But I still felt tough as hell since everyone else was freaking out. 
^and then I proceeded to get my ass haaaanded to me during the actual workout class 
I really appreciate having good neighbors who will respond positively to my texts about noise during baby nap times
Last week my friend was visiting and I was helping her with a few things related to my old job 2 positions ago. We hopped on a call with a former coworker on Teams, and he told me he hated me for looking so relaxed and like I was ready to surf with my tan and tank top.
The real tiny victory- I had to ask how to share a screen because I forgot how.
