The last time I cohabitated with a partner was in my early 20s, and he was very picky. But, more than happy to live on PB&J, Mac & Cheese, and frozen pizza. He was running like 70+ miles a week and I was just like
none of my business haha. I did eventually try to convert him to more veggies and homemade versions of his favorites but it wasn’t worth the effort. I basically just cooked for myself!
lol. In my household the venn diagram of things we both like is narrow enough that, once we threw a child into the mix who needs to eat way before Husband gets home, it’s basically a free-for-all. If I’m making two dinners, it’s one for me and one for the kid. Sometimes Husband eats what I make and he often gets takeout.
Today I did make a dinner that we ate together.
ETA it’s not efficient and it’s not sustainable. I do hope that with practice we can get more items on the rotation that a) we both like and b) can be made on a weeknight.
My ex wasn’t a runner and had a different short list of acceptable foods, but same - we just grocery shopped, cooked, and ate completely separately.
Robot vacuum is not only vacuuming but mopping for me.
I cannot begin to describe my affection for robot vacuum.
I came home from the park surprised at how nice my house looks. A miracle
I wish I knew what robot vacuum likes. The best I got is making sure that its home base is nice and clean and it has plenty of water and clean brushes.
Figured out how to turn off the extra rinse cycle on the laundry washer, and turn on the cycle end buzzer!
Snagged the last seat in a puppy kindergarten class around the corner from our house at a great time/schedule. First class is next weekend.

Roborock of some sort.
I bravely phoned the government and the bank and did some very grown up adulting.
That is brave! The last time I had to phone the government I put it off for like two or three weeks first in spite of a looming deadline.
Well, for what it’s worth, Democrat Shawn Harris is going to the runoff for Congress in Georgia 14 (which was previously Marjorie Taylor Green). He even has the most votes as of now.
This is tiny because there were like 17 Republican candidates splitting the R votes.
This is our reference survey week and this is the first time I have had occasion to log reference questions that were asked of me, and I answered, in Spanish.
Also I am wearing my favorite jeans that I successfully did an invisible mend of the inner thigh area.
