The potted basil I bought from the grocery store and then transplanted to my front yard is actually thriving!!!
This is a huge victory because I am not a gardener. The vast majority of my yard is filled with low water plants on a dripper line that my gardener maintains, but I asked them to leave a tiny corner in the front empty for my “herb garden”, which right now consists of a bunch of spring onions my parents planted, random succulents that my son brought home from camp and planted, and now the basil!

The sunscreen I grabbed on my way out the door this morning to apply at the trailhead ended up being totally empty BUT even after spending 3 hours out in the sun with no shade I wasn’t burnt at all

A coworker brought some EXTREMELY fudgy brownies to share with the office, and I still had coffee left to drink while I ate some.
Also, my 9 year old would like as many people as possible to know that he got today’s Wordle in 3 guesses, Wednesday’s Wordle in 2, and that he had zero help on them. Honestly I’m pretty impressed.
