I bought my dream kitchen work table today! We have spent much of tonight figuring out where we’ll put it, temporarily. After working with it for a while, we’ll settle on the permanent location for it/the kitchen island.
The problem is space of course.
However, it’s even better than I thought! The dealer who had it pointed. out to me that there are TWO cutting boards stored above the drawers. I am SO stoked!

So the cows were no longer in the front pasture when I went by yesterday, which means I can sort of see cow-shaped little lumps off in the distance. Sort of. Sorry.

For uninteresting logistics/name change reasons I let my TSA precheck expire. I had my in-person appointment to renew it Thursday night, and got my approval Saturday morning. I checked my bank account and the fee had already been refunded by my credit card. Everything coming up ole Bern!

Planted my first ever successfully rooted avocado seedling in a pot out in my greenhouse today. Now, I might theoretically get an avocado in a mere eight years! But probably not.

One of our favourite Scotish artists has a ‘seconds’ sale every year. It’s usually very limited availability, funtional products with tiny flaws and any sets are random, however everything is half price. I ordered a set of ceramic coasters as soon as I got the email, as we seem to lose one or two to breakages every year, and they’ve just arrived. Great set of patterns and I can’t actually see the flaws, so fantastic value and no endless angst over chosing my own set!
